if something is listed as vegetarian does that mean the sugars they use are bone char free?!

Just a few questions ago I said vegetarians waste time overthinking everything instead of just eating and living. This is just more proof of it.
There is vegetarian and there is vegan. For a sugar to be suitable for a vegan, that means the charcoal used to decolorize it is not animal sourced (bone char). It would be wood sourced.
Now for a vegetarian, it all depends on the degree of fidelity to the term they subscribe to.
unless they are making they're own sugar, probably not. almost all commercially available prepackaged sugars have some bone char.
