Out of all the food, why do people send wheat to the desert to help feed the hungry when they don't have water?!

Question: Out of all the food, why do people send wheat to the desert to help feed the hungry when they don't have water?
You ever tried to eat some dry mothafuckin wheat?

Answers:

there will always be some source of water somewhere.. I live in SaudiArabia.. there has never been a shortage of water here...

Because in an impoverished area, they don't just send food and leave them to it. They usually work on bringing food to the places that need it and to make sure that they have potable water either by bringing it themselves and/or helping the area develop its own source (digging new wells, purification of an existing available water source, etc).

Why not read how these organizations work.

Grains store well in dry conditions and have a long shelf-life compared to healthy stuff like veg & fruit. Although I think rice is a larger export than wheat, as far as food donations go...

Better than starving, I guess.

Yes ill advised.

I guess when your hungry you'll eat anything, not caring what you get to eat so long as you get to eat even if it is wheat
