Question: All vegan animals have bowered long intestines like humans have. Is this Good proof do u think?
Omnivorous and Carnivorous animals, have short straight intestines and handle fats better. We die from too much saturated fat, that our system can't handle long term.
Taste makes many deny these facts often.
Your turn , Please say what u think ,thanks all?

Check out this page http://www.viva.org.uk/guides/Wheat-Eate… for more proof that humans are naturally herbivorous.

exactly the points the meat eaters overlook.
We have long twisting intestines like all plant eaters, full of pockets and nodules which are designed for the absorbtion of water, vitamins and nutrients, and what is left ( the fibre) cleans the intestine on the way out.

Animals who eat meat ( we are not one) have short smooth intestine which are only designed for the absorbtion of fat and salt and NOT water . Animal dropping like this are hard pellets. We humans are entriely different.

We make out own cholesterol, the thing that makes humans sick and die is eating animal fat- it lines the veins, there is no use for it in the human body by nature.

We have flat teeth.

This is just like that argument people are coming up with about "essential fatty acids from fish," it's very easy for me to be skeptical of these things I don't quite understand myself fully.

Right now I'm on an omnivorous diet because I am in fact, an omnivore.
But that doesn't mean I need to eat animal flesh. Just eggs; so my vegan diet won't hurt my body and will actually reverse the damage done from eating things like pork all my life.

You make good points but I highly doubt if a human being were deserted on an island, they would need much of anything but their own body processes, some grass to eat and clean water.

So it all depends on what you are, and what you need to do with your body.

Whales have enormous mouths with hair-like teeth because all they have discovered they need to eat is plankton. Whereas I read a while ago, that paleontologists discovered a prehistoric whale-eating whale. A whale that ate smaller whales.

I highly doubt we need anything, in a serious sense, besides good old water, nitrogen and carbon.

If you're asking for more examples of taxonomical differences between carnivores and herbivores in relation to human biology and function, they can be found here: http://www.tierversuchsgegner.org/wiki/i…

Various folk promote the opportunistic feeder theory which suggests that because man can or has fed on meat, eggs, insects and other animal matter, then man is an opportunistic omnivore. This theory also counters the conclusions of taxonomy presented above, suggesting it is misleading and that species have individual feeding habits and cannot be pigeonholed as taxonomy suggests. The basis of this argument is that animal behaviour and adaptability indicates dietary suitability.

This theory is false and unscientific. Of course tradition is not scientific, and the practice of humans eating meat is old, but has nothing to do with what we are biologicaly equipped to feed upon. We ate meat to survive, now we eat it out of habit and not need.

No, you are thinking of species which have specialised diets. Many species do not have highly specialised diets, we are one such species which is why we have been so successful. If you want to use an argument in favour of veganism which is based on biology, look at what's happening in the world around us rather than inside us. We don't need meat, it costs the earth to produce, there are about 6 billion more humans here than there were only 200 years ago and this exponential growth has made our use of animals untenable. If we can significantly reduce the global birthrate then hopefully our population can return to sustainable levels, and meat eaters won't have such a huge impact on the planet. In the mean time it is imperative that people in developed countries give up meat as they have the biggest impact on the world and better resources for conversion to new agricultural systems such as vertical farming.

Humans have longer intestines than carnivores and shorter intestines than herbivores. We're omnivores. We evolved eating meat and veggies.

Proof that humans are natural meat eaters? B12. You need B12 to stay healthy and B12 is NOT found naturally in any plant foods. Period. End of argument.

The Vegan Society says you should supplement for B12. They started the whole vegan thing. Do you think they don't know what they're talking about?

VRG, probably the largest veg*n resource on the net says you should supplement for B12. Do you think they don't know what they're talking about?

VeganHealth and the veganRD, are both sites run by registered dietitians who promote the VEGAN diet. And they both say you MUST supplement for B12 if you want to stay a healthy vegan.

Carnivores do have short intestines, but not omnivores. They are not long but not short. Thus our classification as omnivores. I can't believe there is even a debate about this anymore. Humans ARE omnivores. This is a fact and not up for debate.

I like how some people say (Today humans don't need meat, we have a choice) This is false. Maybe people who think that should get out a little more. MANY people on this planet still live in huts, and many don't even have a home at all. Poor people don't have a choice and there are a BUNCH of them out there. Although I think the question was asked if people thought humans are omnivores or herbivores. Not to debate ethics or what people should eat if the have money. The bottom line is humans ARE omnivores. Anyone that's says different is ignorant.

Just take money and grocery stores away from people and put them out in a natural setting (the wild) These people will either eat an omnivores diet or die. The proof is how our ancestors lived and even how people without luxuries live today. Every society that lives today that doesn't have modern luxuries eats meat in their diet. Humans ARE omnivores.

cows are vegetarians unless you put animal in the food.
each animal and man are made different by the creator and for the non believer by lol by chance we get the food from one end to the other without a design? anyway we as humans have one plan and eat digest and poop. the cow eats sits down or lays down and rechews the grass and makes somethign for him and me and then poops. No design? OK. if you say so but try makeing that happen twice without design.
