You don't have to eat veggies raw, it's just that when you cook vegetables, they lose some of their nutrients during the process....It's perfectly fine to steam vegetables...Cooking them doesn't make them lose ALL their nutrients, just a minimal amount...

Nope. Steaming is an excellent way to cook vegetables with minimal nutrient loss. In fact, some vegetables are more easily digested when lightly cooked--carrots are more nutritious when lightly steamed. And I think some greens have more bioavailability when lightly cooked (spritz greens with lemon juice to increase iron absorption). For guys, they lycopene is more easily absorbed in cooked tomato foods than in raw.

But there's nothing wrong with eating some veggies raw. What matters is you're eating your veggies.

Don't stress about the raw hype. Steaming veggies is about the best way to cook them to eat. I think only microwaving them (internal steaming) looses less nutrients, but that tends to "cook" some foods rather unevenly.

Yes, heating/cooking foods looses some nutrients, but as long as you don't cook foods to a gray mush you're not destroying all the vitamins.

You can steam your veggies, they are delicious! Some people are all into the 'raw food diet' and there are all kinds of other diets. Do what you want. You are eating far healthier by eating veggies than a majority of people out there. Don't dump a whole bunch of cheese or dressing etc on them and they are absolutely healthy.

Steam your veggies, but eat a generous salad of greens (arugula, baby spinach, mixed lettuces) also, each day. You need to steam veggies like brussel sprouts, for ex., and I also like cauliflower and broccoli steamed, as I will eat more of these two when cooked rather than raw.

I agree with what others have already said. It's good if you can get some raw veggies in your diet but that may be hard on your stomach. Sometimes it's a matter of trying it out. I eat them both ways. I'm going on a raw vegan retreat in March so I will be finding out from an expert about raw and if it feels alright to me.

you only just heard that veg should be eaten raw? Have you never eaten a vegetable before?
Take the steamer back, anyway I don't think you're going to eat all your veg raw from now on.
