Is feces vegan if the animal has not ingested animal products?!

Question: Is feces vegan if the animal has not ingested animal products?
I was just wondering because there are coffees and soups derived from them.

No, feces is an animal by product.

I'm pretty sure that the coffee you speak of (eaten and passed by a civet) would not be vegan. Vegans don't eat anything that an animal has been "used" to produce.

Faeces is not a food (you might eat it, but most don't).

I would have to say no. Honey comes from bees, milk comes from cows, fecal matter comes from whatever animal in question. So, it seems that feces are an animal bi-product... I don't know.
