Allergy to gluten is called celiac disease. This can cause anything from mild symptoms like indigestion and diarrhoea through to internal bleeding in severe cases. The trouble is the immune system of the allergic individual thinks that gluten is a poison so it generates an immune response with tissues becoming inflamed.

Hey there im allergic to wheat (gluten) and it means that if you have anything that has wheat in it such as bread or flour anything like that your body reacts against it and rejects the food and can make you really sick. I have the same problem with dairy and other foods like fish and eggs. It could be a couple of things but mainly Celiac disease or IBS ( irritable bowel Symdrome) which I have which causes your bowels to either be constipated or diarreha or bloated.
Hope it helps :)
Celiac disease is much like Lactose Intolerance issues your digestive system cannot process the gluten, thus it can cause many stomach and bowel issues, your can usually eat rice, barley, spelt, quinoa and other non wheat based grains, I am not one but have taken a limit wheat based diet on in the last year and lost a few pound because of it, if your concerned or have issues see your doctor to be tested.
Some people are allergic to wheat or gluten as it is also called. Where did you come up with weight thing?
