How much weight can i expect to lose on a vegetarian, gluten free diet?!

Question: How much weight can i expect to lose on a vegetarian, gluten free diet?
Recently I have stopped eating meat and have gone gluten free for health reasons. I have stopped all my binging and I'm feeling satisfied and healthier with just 3 small meals a.day with fruit or a lowfat yogurt as a snack thru the day. But I have already lost about 5 lbs in five days. I was wondering if I will continue to lose weight and if so how much? I dance 6 days a week for about 4 hrs each day BTW. Thanks so much!

That all depends on what kind of lacto-ovo-vegetarian & gluten free diet you're on (healthy or less healthy) and how much exercise you do. The same for any diet. I would recommend a visit to a nutritionist so they can help you figure out what diet best suits you.

You can't expect to lose any unless you consume the right foods in the right amounts and exercise regularly. You can actually damage your body by consuming too few calories when you are very active. Your breakfast should be the largest meal.

It isn't the fact of a vegetarian or gluten-free diet; but the calories in & out.
One pound a day is a reasonably safe level; keep up the good work.

Sounds like you're at an excellent healthy pace.
