Seriously.Do you ever think for one moment missing eating meat?!

Question: Seriously.Do you ever think for one moment missing eating meat?
Like you walk past a bbq shop and smell that meaty aroma in the air thinking what if I give it another crack at it?Cheers

Answers:

Yes! I l miss especially corned beef, fried and baked chicken, shrimp, and fish. I never really liked meat that much because usually it is not cooked or seasoned to my liking. But when I get a wiff of good quality meat, I kind of wish I wasnt a vegetarian. But I like being a vegetarian, and wouldnt break my stride. Of course I have only been a vegetarian for three months.

Hey :-)

I've been a vegetarian for about four years now and I have to admit, sometimes I miss McDonald's Mc-Nuggets. As a child that was the only meat I really liked. However when I think about the poor chickens that were held in small, wire cages and kept awake for 24 hours a day under bright light, I find that the craving has passed.

Other then that the smell and sight of most meat makes me sick. I hope this answered your question.

Of course they do. The "mock meat" industry would not be so successful if vegetarians/vegans do not eat such foods. And most of these companies advertise of vegetarians/vegan websites. Many of the posters on this specific questions are the same ones who often tell others to try these products because "they are so good and taste like the real thing"

Denying liking meat or claiming to hate it is apparently a must on order to be a "true" "cool" vegetarian/vegan. The same way they deny they hate people who eat meat when someone asks but post answers to the contrary. The level of hypocrisy among these people is amazing!

I do miss meat sometimes. I was raised on meat and never deny that I enjoyed the taste. That said, I've never thought of going back. The way I see it, my cravings still don't justify the horrible lives and deaths of those animals. I don't need to eat them in order to live or be successful. If you are struggling, just remember that whatever discomfort you are experiencing at keeping an animal off your plate pales in comparison to what the animal had to experience to make it into the market.

Nope when I first stopped eating meat I did but what I noticed as time went on was that I really wasn't missing the meat so much as the sauces that went on them. So I found vegan friendly substitutes and put the sauces on them!
The smell of BBQ sauce makes me hungry the smell of meat cooking makes me ill.

I will admit it to smelling great but I would never be tempted enough to eat it or help the meat industry out. I know better and knowing what happens behind the scene and knowing that meat was once a living bean makes me sad to even think of what happened to him/her...
no.. i never miss eating meat..

Not really. I enjoyed the food I ate before going vegan, but I have foods that taste just as good or better minus the nerves and blood and pus. I mean, veganism is truly the superior diet. I have done both. So, to answer your question, I guess I just have to say Nope.

seriously no I really don't.
It's the umami taste of vegemite or marmite or even miso paste- that's the same feeling in y mouth as I got eating meat. I never miss meat, the texture is flesh, that stuff is NOT meant to be inside human flesh.

I was addicted to Jalepeno burgers from Carls Jr for a while.. When I first quit I was depressed because I was so addicted to meat. But it's much easier now, I don't give it much thought. I do dream about meat sometimes.

No. The smell of a bbq that I like is the fried onion smell. The smell of flesh cooking is really repulsive, and the smell of cold bbq'd meat is even worse.

No. I don't miss it because I know what it is. The only thing I miss is the easiness. I miss being able to go anywhere without making sure to bring something to eat just in case.

Nope. After two years the idea of eating a dead animals carcess is so gross I want to throw up when I smell it or look at it.

You lose your appetite for it. I do sometimes miss a spicey Italian sausage. But like I said, it passes.

Nope. Sure, barbeque SAUCE smells great when it's cooking (you get that same smell barbequing seitan with sauce on it). But I've always thought that burning flesh smells awful.

Nope. Never. In the very beginning it still sounded appetizing, but after a while it become disgusting.

Never i feel sick thinking about it.

yes, but it passes. also I can get veggie meat any time.

Honestly no, the only thing I miss are jack in the box tacos.

Honestly, no, I don't. I don't think I even did when I first became a vegetarian 35 years ago.

I'm not one of those who absolutely cannot touch dead animal flesh, however. I have a dog. I feed the dog every day - mostly animal flesh. I also have a non-vegetarian partner. I sometimes cook things especially for her, that I wouldn't eat personally. None of it entices me though. And some of the smells actually make me feel sick.

Vegan!
