Neither tasty, nutritious or environmentally friendly. Earth Balance is a palm oil. While veg*ns would never eat beef because they claim it's devastating the rain forest, they seem to ignore the fact that Earth Balance is mostly produced from trees being cut down there, too. One vegan says:

"To answer the question posed in the title of this post: I boycott Earth Balance (and all products using palm oil) because I can easily live without it. It is a luxury item that uses a devastating ingredient and that puts it on the wrong side of the line my ethics draw in the sand."

The increasing demand for fake soy products like veggie sausage is also increasing the demand for soy beans and leading to more rain forest devastation. No, soy beans are not fed to livestock in the US. Soy MEAL is fed to livestock in the US. Soy meal is what's left after the oil has been pressed out of the bean. By eating fake soy dairy products, meats, tofu, you are increasing the demand for soy beans.

Lastly there's not enough calories in this meal for you to maintain your health.

Sounds OK (but I don't know what Earth Balance is), but not for all the time. Vegie sausages are highly processed and should not be eaten on a regular basis (you're better off having a home made vegie patty made from pulses and vegetables). Also, multi-grain bread instead of sourdough would have more nutrients.

Gah sounds tasty

Sounds good to me..
