Tofu is not as good for you as you think it is or as good as the health food fanatics want you to believe. The first article was written in 2000 and is about a study done on effects of tofu on the brain and it will scare you for sure. There are a lot of other articles too so I've included a search engine page for you as well.

Yes, tofu is a healthy food which is low-calorie, easily digested source of protein.. For each 100 calories serving, tofu contains 11 grams of protein. It also rich in calcium, iron, some vitamins and minerals.
You can even make your own tofu by coagulating soy milk with natural calcium sulphate.
Although some studies show that too much soy can disturb our estrogen especially in women but eat everything in moderation should not be harmful.
Soy beans have been around since ancient China!
Tofu is a curded product, which isn't bad for you at all. It may taste artificial because it's bland on its own, and when a food is bland, you tend to pay attention more to the texture.
Soy is very good for you, it is a complete protein (w/ all the essential amino acids), has iron, fiber, B6, and isoflavones which slow down aging (soy is the ONLY thing on earth that contains isoflavones).
I'd suggest pressing it to get a lot of the water out, then marinating it with whatever marinade you like.
I used to HATE tofu, now I love it!
Yes, it's very healthy. Full of protein, and low in fat and calories. It's old, tested, and true as a food source.
I know that right now, it's very hip and trendy for the white, upper-middle class to scream fears about tofu, thanks to J. Mercola(who indulges in raw, imported lamb), but you don't need to fear tofu.
My only advise is to not rely exclusively on one source of food for all of your protein. I don't know if you are vegan, but there is also milk, yogurt and kefir, cheese, not to mention dried beans and lentils, eggs, dark, leafy greens, and nuts and seeds. There is also a fermented soybean product called "tempeh", which tastes very good when cooked properly(I find it hard to digest).
Tofu is blah in flavor, so you need to look up some tasty recipes. Of course, start with Chinese and Thai!
First of all, tofu is extremely healthy and is full of protein. Second of all, not to be mean to anyone, but I wouldn't trust Wikipedia to give you a trusted, reliable answer about anything.

This website is all about soy. You can watch a video on how they make tofu. You can read all about the health benefits of soy. Check it out!
Soy beans aren't an artificial invention, see here.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soybean
Tofu is healthy, but it's like everything else, everything should be eaten in moderation. Bananas are healthy, for example, but if you eat too much of them they can harm you. Same with anything else that is healthy.
Soybeans aren't artificial...not anymore than black beans or other legumes. They're natural.
You don't need to rely on tofu for protein. Protein is made up of amino acids, and amino acids build biological cells...ALL cells, including plants. In other words, eat a well-rounded diet and you'll be fine. You don't need to eat tofu if you don't like it.
vegan
tofu IS processed so its not 100% healthy---BUT its a source of high protein, low fat/calories. personally i think that that makes it have more positive benefits than negative ones. but if youre still concerned, you dont NEED tofu to get your protein on a vegan diet, here are other sources:

No, not really. Soy contains enzyme inhibitors which minimise uptake of its protein, and phytates which prevent absorption of other vitamins and minerals, UNLESS it has been fermented. Fermented soy products are tempeh (best food on Earth!), miso, soy and tamari sauces.
Nope. Tofu isn't natural, it's processed soy. Soy isn't even all that healthy to begin with.
No it isn't very healthy. highly processed soybeans.
yea its healthy/gross
yes
