Are goats killed for make-up brushes?!

I'm not sure if they are killed to make make-up or artist brushes, but they certainly are killed for food and then their hide sold to make the brushes.
Ethically I feel strange about using a creature's hair on myself or anything else so the issue is not about how they got it.
Here's a company called EcoTools that makes vegan cosmetic brushes, I bought some myself, they're nice and soft:

Some companies may tell you that their natural-hair brushes are 100 percent cruelty-free, promising that no squirrels, camels, badgers, or any other animals used to make natural-hair brushes were harmed in the manufacturing process.
I’m skeptical with such promise or statement. I’m not suggesting that these companies are dishonest, but in reality, many of these companies don't make their brushes in house but buy from manufacturers in other countries and therefore, they do NOT know firsthand how the animals were treated.
Unfortunately many popular brands' makeup brushes are made with real animal hair.
In my opinion, it's not cruelty-free simply because the animals are kept in cages and maintained for the purpose of using their hair to make brushes. God knows if they feed them, beat them, etc. You have to remember it's an INDUSTRY.
I just don't like the idea of using animals for any purposes except to love and respect them.
I would definitely opt for synthetic brushes. Better than natural-hair brushes, synthetic bristles are hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin. They're soft, clean, cheaper, don't stink after washing them, and overall just superior products in my opinion.
If you're on a budget, E.L.F carries synthetic makeup brushes that are wonderful (The company is completely cruelty-free as well as vegan). Urban Decays makeup brushes are wonderful, and you have great choices at MAC such as the 231 small shader brush, 190 foundation brush, 263 small angle brush, which are all synthetic as well.

No. Animals are not killed for their fur, that'd be killing the golden goose.
However, the flip side is they may also use the fur of an already dead animal (slaughterhouse etc).
no
most brushes, including makeup brushes are using artificially made bristles, not from goats anymore.
Yes. That's a terrible issue we should be very concerned about.
