What is a good alternative to gelatine to use in cooking?!

Question: What is a good alternative to gelatine to use in cooking?
Not a vegetarian but it does gross me out how gelatine is produced, so what is the best alternative perhaps, for use in cooking as an ingredient on it's own? Cheers.

Agar agar, guar gum, arrowroot powder, kudzu, or some kosher gelatines are vegetarian but not all.

Agar Agar. It is a vegetarian gelatin made from seaweed. It has no flavour, like unflavoured gelatin and any flavours can be added. You can buy it at health food stores. It sets at cold and room temperature

pectin
