I've been a vegetarian for 6 months and had a burger today, now i feel funny?!

Question: I've been a vegetarian for 6 months and had a burger today, now i feel funny?
I haven't eaten any meat in 6 months, only once and it was just chicken stock in soup. So today the burger place gave us an extra cheese burger and my friends and brother were going on and on about how delicious it was. So i decided what the hell, not going to let it get thrown out and killed for nothing. I felt fine at first but then got insanely tired and felt like i was going to puke. I feel very dizzy whenever i stand up so i have been lying down pretty much since i've got home. Is this normal after not eating meat for so long? Or is it just coincidence? Help! :(

It's normal, your GI system isn't used to it, it will pass. Remember in the future, if you decide to eat some flesh, a big greasy piece isn't the best choice : )

This is very normal and will actually happen if you cut meat out of your diet for the most part...you don't have to go 6 months without it.

As for an animal getting killed for nothing, thousands of pounds of meat expire and are thrown away on a regular basis...you eating one extra burger didn't do anything but prove to you that your vegetarian diet is much healthier than eating meat.

Well if you don't do any exercise for 6 months do you think you would be able to run 10km without getting puffed or collapsing (I dnt think so)... its exactly the same With meat :) if you don't do something for a long period of time your body adjust to it and it gets quite shocked if you suddenly make a change! Sooo DNT worry about it :D you will be fine cuz its completely normal :) !!!! HOPE IT HELPED

Thats just your testicles kicking in,

Don't worry, it happens when you eat meat after a while without it

Your body just isn't used to the protein in the meat yet. That's normal, give it some time

Yes it is normal. You should feel fine by tomorrow.

Admit it.. you ate too fast because it DID taste so good...

Eating emat after six months of abstinence won't make you dizzy.. but eating too fast will.. You see the thing is the fanatic vegetarians like to suggest that your body is rejecting meat because apparently that is a "cool" trend among "hip" vegetarians: That your body somehow transforms physiologically. It's all part of the vegetarian "we are not meant to eat meat" propaganda that they read about and were told to spread.

Near the end of WW2, when Nazi Holocaust prisoners/victims were fed proper food, they all had the same symptoms as you did. Not because they were not used to the meat, but because they were so undernourished that their bodies cannot handle the sudden influx of nutrients. After eating a poor diet for several years not months. And they ate too much too fast. Seems like the vegetarian fanatics are all implying that a vegetarian diet is just like or even worse than a Nazi Holocaust camp diet. You were so undernourished in six months that eating one cheese burger gave you the same symptoms of a slave laborer.

I haven't eaten meat in 3 years .. I cant believe you just decided to eat it on a whim like that?

but my teacher is a vegetarian he ate meat on acident and projectile puked everywher.. but he's been a vegetarian for years.. I dont think not eating meat for 6 months then eating it can do much.. its not that long of a time period. If you still feel sick though I would go into the doctor..

Your body is just not used to it. It's like a new substance all over again to it! It'll pass.
As a raw vegan (100%) I've learned it my nuts aren't TRULY raw, I get symptoms like that. Just lay down and relax, take a nap and stay hydrated.

Could be guilt, or grease from the meat.

It's not normal. The meat may have been off.
