Whether you choose to eat meat or not, you are biologically an omnivore. Your body has evolved to get many important nutrients from meat or other animal products like eggs and dairy.

You can get iron and protein, for example, from veggies, but it's harder. The iron in meat is heme iron and much easier for your body to absorb than the non heme iron in veggies. Protein is made up of amino acids. Meat contains all the amino acids for complete protein; most veggies don't. They contain some of them and if you eat a wide variety every day, your body will (hopefully) combine them for the complete protein it needs to function properly.

But it takes a while to actually get deficient in important nutrients. My guess is that you're not eating enough is why your stomach hurts and you feel weak. Get a food diary or an online calorie counter and track the calories you're eating. You need probably 2000, more if your active or a growing youngster.

Being vegetarian doesn't mean you just stop eating meat. You need to eat a lot of a variety of vegetables (especially legumes). Otherwise you're just a person with an eating disorder.

You need to tell us exactly what you're eating when you try to go vegetarian.

You may also be relying on foods that you may not tolerate well. For example, I can eat gluten and soy...but only in small amounts. If I tried making a diet heavy in either of those, I would be in a lot of pain!
