I'll give you some ideas for the ultimate healthy smoothie! One thing I won't really take into account is cost... I consider clean healthy food to be a priority in my life. I encourage others to do the same. Once you invest one by one in these ingredients.. they end up lasting forever so I think its completely worth it when you work out how much each smoothie ends up costing you.

Hemp, rice or organic soy milk makes an excellent base! Coconut water is another favourite too. A banana always gives a smoothie a great consistency. Or an avocado also gives a very silky texture and add essential fats to the smoothie (I hope you are not on a diet that excludes healthy fats! - if our bodies do not get essential fatty acids, our hormones suffer and therefore the body will have a hard time losing weight) Organic virgin coconut oil is veeery tasty in smoothies. Here is my recipe for a superfood smoothie that I make most mornings. I find I eat much less during the day when I start the day with this and it gives me tons of lasting energy. This is a balanced complete meal!

1.5 cup of chocolate hemp milk (the yummiest vegetarian milk)
1 Banana
1 tbsp of fresh ground flax seed (excellent fiber and benefits)
1 tbsp of spirulina (source of cleansing chorophyll, complete protein and many vitamins)
1.5 tbsp of maca (balances hormones and source of B vits)
3-4 tbsp of hemp hearts (complete protein and omega fats)
1 tbsp of virgin coconut oil (therapuetic fat and never goes toxic like many oils we use)
BLEND UP and drink slowly - very very delicious and satisfying
