People make the misconception that if they follow a vegan diet they will automatically (somehow) lose weight. That's not the case AT ALL. You can be eating vegan deserts, avocados and pasta all day resulting gaining weight. It's healthier but it has no relevance to losing weight.
It depends, but becoming a vegan is not about dieting. If you are thinking about becoming a vegan, it should be for other reasons such as your love for animals or if you are seeking a healthier lifestyle. You are just wanting to lose weight, there are better ways to do that such as exercising and controlling your proportions. With that being said, I became a vegan 2 years ago after eating meat my whole life. I did lose 26lbs in 3 weeks and 50lbs overall and I've kept it off. I do, however, know some vegans that are overweight. To sum it up, becoming a vegan is a lifestyle and not a good way to diet.
Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or poultry. Vegans, in addition to being vegetarian, do not use other animal products and by-products such as eggs, dairy products, honey, leather, fur, silk, wool, cosmetics, and soaps derived from animal products. The key to a nutritionally sound vegan diet is variety. A healthy and varied vegan diet includes fruits, vegetables, plenty of leafy greens, whole grain products, nuts, seeds, and legumes. Almost all foods except for alcohol, sugar, and fats provide some protein. Vegan sources include: lentils, chickpeas, tofu, peas, peanut butter, soy milk, almonds, spinach, rice, whole wheat bread, potatoes, broccoli, kale...

depends what kids of vegan you are. if you are vegetarian and you already need to loose weight then thats a good indication that you have a poor unbalanced diet and you are not exercising enough. vegan/vegetarian is not a guaranteed wight loss. it's all about calories - intake - outtake. just make sure you are eating lots off fruits, veggies, nuts and legumes. it's important that you are getting enough protein ad well.
It really depends on how much you eat and what kinds of food you eat. I went meat and dairy free last May and I lost about 18 lbs over the summer. But, I also drank lots of water, walked almost every day for a bit, and substituted white bread products for whole grains. If you go vegetarian, watch your dairy...it can definitely cause some weight gain by eating too much. I would suggest no meat, no dairy, whole grains, and egg whites whenever you can sub them for regular eggs. It's a slow process if the only thing you do is go vegan. It's a lifestyle...not a diet
3.7 pounds lol There is no way of knowing how much if any weight you will lose. Being a vegan doesn't mean you will lose any weight.
All food has calories. If you take in more calories than you burn you will gain weight. If you burn more calories than you take in you will lose weight.
Noe at all.
A vegan diet isn't a weight loss diet.
Fries, chips , peanut butter jelly, pancakes, fried tofu with rice, noodles and oil, oatmeal with soymilk, nuts and bananas, they're kind of calorie laden.
And I'm pretty sure hummous and avocados are fattty too.
It's not what you eat, it's the calorie content of it and how many calories you eat a day. I'm vegan and gained weight at first because I was eating too many carbohydrates. (but it went back to normal when I started reading about nutrition)
One can't say how much you loose, in 3 - 7 days, without knowing your normal diet routine and your life-style.
By the way, quick weight loosing is not preferable. Patience and consistency is the key to success.
Honestly? You might end up gaining weight. Depending on what you eat, it can be a very limited diet. If you choose to start eating junk food instead of vegetables, you will most certainly not lose weight.
You'll actually gain about 50 pounds, the fattest people in the world are vegan americans
depends on how much food you eat and what exactly you eat
depends hun
