Fingernails peeling back. Vitamin/nutritional deficiency?!

Question: Fingernails peeling back. Vitamin/nutritional deficiency?
Ive heard this is a sign of some sort of deficiency, but which one would it be?

(top layer of fingernails peeling back)

Answers:

Protein and calcium.

Some people just have weak fingernails.

Go to your doc, tell them what is going on and ask for a blood test. They can help you fom there.

This is not relevant to vegetarianism. It may be a protein deficiency.

Biotin is great for the fingernails.

See your doctor, and you'll know what actually is wrong.
