Question for practicing Vegetarians?!
Answers:
My dad is vegan. So he excludes:
Meat
Dairy products
Eggs
Anythin from an animal.
Well you have mentioned meat but I also exclude anything that is animal based, such as vegetables that are cooked in animal oils, lard-based butter, honey, jello (since gelatin is made from ground up hooves), etc. I also exclude eggs because, although people say that there was no animal in the egg to begin with, this is not technically true. There was most likely an embryo in the egg (unless it was a sterile egg or a failed fertilization but how can we know if it is?). The reason there is not an embryo when you eat it is because the egg is put under intense temperatures to kill the embryo. I see it the same as I see abortion: murder.
Anything that involved an animal dying to make it I exclude. The only animal based things that I eat are dairy products. I am against mass farming of animals but I see nothing wrong with taking some milk from cows who are not using it.
Well, real vegetarians don't eat any dead animals. We also don't eat the bi-products that come from a dead animal. These include gelatin, animal lard/fats, beef tallow, fish sauce, oyster sauce, gravy and broths made from animal fats. That is was we exclude from our diets.
Vegans don't consume any animal products. That means nothing from slaughtered animals, as well as no dairy, eggs, and sometimes honey.
all meat, red and white, seafoods, much of the animal by products liek geltatine or rennet and that means a lot of drinks and desserts are excluded, anything that doesnt have a v sign on it
