Do animal supporters wear leather?!

vegans (actual vegans, not people who use the word without knowing what it means) never wear leather. Many animal advocates are vegan. But not all, and some of them may wear or use leather. It doesn't go down very well when someone in an activist network use leather or fur as it can distract from the message they are trying to promote in much the way some of the other answers describe.

Ever seen Bono of U2 wearing hemp pants and shoes? He is a big animal welfare activist and famous for it too and last time I saw him, he was wearing leather pants and shoes. Does not seem to affect his status in the activist circles as someone put it. But then again, some so called activist circles are nothing more than extortionists and scammers using the legitimate issue of animal welfare to make a quick buck.
Some narrow minded individuals always seem to automatically equate animal welfare issues with the word "vegan". Animal welfare activism takes more than just showing people what's missing from your your dinner plate or writing some "cool" title after your name. .

As a person grows in their beliefs etc then they grow in their decisions about what they will spend money on . just becuz a vegetarian has one or 2 items made of leather then that doesn't make them a hypocrite . sometimes people get hand me downs or find things as thrift stores . If u already have something made of leather then u don't have to throw it away ...just don't buy more leather . ...or give something away instead . I don't know what u mean by animal supporter ...? do u mean someone who works for PETA or mercy for animals ?? And honestly I have 2 pairs of shoes and neither is made of leather . I also have sandals and those are definitely not leather lol ! I think if it's obvious that somthing is leather then just don't buy it . Corsets? The last time I saw a corset then it was not made of leather ...but no I did not buy it.

I do not think an animal rights person (peta or another animal rights group) would wear leather .. Definitely not . Unless it was something they already had in their closet from the past.

well im pretty sure they dont if they do its prob leather. it depends how strongly they feel bout i. like im a animal supporter n i dont wear reaal fur or leather cause i think its jus like skinning a human n wearin dem.
