I plan on eating an All organic natural healthy diet?!

Question: I plan on eating an All organic natural healthy diet?
Do you think it's a good idea??

I'm 15 and wanna lose weight and be as healthy as I can be and have more energy to do things I would never do. What kind of foods should I consider buying. My mom thinks it's good I wanna be healthy and I plan on doing exercise and using all natural products on my body.

Answers:

All organic and natural is a wonderful idea. Organic food is much tastier! As far as foods go, I find that the closer you stay to the source or nature of the food, the better. In other words, avoid processed food. Choose whole grains and whole wheat instead of white flour. Eat a diet rich in fruits, veg, whole grains, and make sure you drink plenty of water. If you go the vegetarian or vegan route, get plenty of protein from soy based products (tempeh, tofu) and other vegetables (lentils, broccoli). Try to get 1 hr of exercise a day, 4-5 times a week. Then you shall be on the path to good health and happiness. Best of luck!

Living on an all organic diet can become pretty pricey. Not all fruits and vegetables you need to get organic like onions. Most thin skinned fruits and veggies should be organic though.

Also don't always worry about the calories or fat free claims. Most of the healthiest stuff is full of good fats and high in calories like almonds, olive oil, and coconuts. This doesn't mean to splurge on them, but eating them or using them in meals is a must. Just remember to listen to your stomach when your full and splurge occasionally, but not often.

Also exercise is the key to having a healthier lifestyle. Some people like to do strength training, running, yoga, etc. Just find what you like the most and stick with it, but switch up your routine every now and then. Make sure you don't push yourself to hard either I wouldn't exercise everyday of the week you need to take a day or two off.

And listen to the person above if you are at a perfect weight for your age and height don't over do it with worrying about diet and exercise.

im 17 and i weight 120lbs the thing is right when u wake up have a healthy breakfast none of that pop-tart crap (Toaster strudels are good tho) eat at normal times (Afternoon and dinner) i don't recommend soda or junk food. honey and vinegar are good to be in your foods as well. the whole point of breakfast in the morning is that it wakes up you metabolism so that when u eat a big lunch your body isn't like oh hell that's a lot ._. . do not eat food in big portions and also don't gorge yourself in food. if your tummy is satisfied that's when u stop. ALSO ACAI does help! it doesn't taste like strawberries but it help your dietary process. (Ive tried one piece and lost 3 pounds xD believe or not) if you go to school that's great exercise for your age lol walking around is all exercise you need atm use the link and it will tell you if you are overweight or perfect IF YOU ARE PERFECT STAY THAT WAY! no need to become bulimic :) GOOD LUCK!
