Is it a good idea to go organic and eat healthier?? What foods should I look for and avoid?!

Question: Is it a good idea to go organic and eat healthier?? What foods should I look for and avoid?
Do you think it's a good idea??

I'm 15 and wanna lose weight and be as healthy as I can be and have more energy to do things I would never do. What kind of foods should I consider buying. My mom thinks it's good I wanna be healthy and I plan on doing exercise and using all natural products on my body.

It's a good idea to eat healthier, but not completely organic. It's good to buy organic berries, apples, spinach, and other thin skin fruits & vegetables because they're more likely to have more pesticides. Also start getting natural nut butters instead of the gross peanut butters full of refined sugar.

Eating healthier doesn't mean you should cut out sugar completely. It's good for you to splurge a little bit at times. Just don't go over board on sweets. Raw honey and Pure Maple Syrup have some nice health benefits just so you know.

Remember to eat tons of vegetables and fruits along with whole grains.

I agree with Dying, but about the sweets, try agave nectar as a sweetener for drinks, as pancake syrup (it's really good on pancakes), and so forth. It's really sweet and tastes like sugar. It's not low calorie, but your system digests it differently than sugar. Something about the molecules makes it bind and pass right out of your system instead of spiking your blood sugar. And it's from an agave cactus so it's not man-made and dangerous like artificial sweeteners. You can get it at a health food store. It's kind of expensive, like $8 a bottle, but you only need a little because it's so sweet, so it lasts a while.

organic is not necessarily healthier.

In fact...it may be less healthy
