Raw Soya Mince (am I going to die)?!
I just bought soya mine today and ate alot of it for a snack with some milk like a cereal as I say its 50g protein per 100g and .4g fat thats fairly amazing.
However here's the catch
when I was on the internet looking for some recipes for the stuff I saw that you shouldn't eat it raw.
this was confirmed when I looked on the back and it said Caution do not eat raw.
Whats the story it looks just like granola and I never heard of that killing anyone if eaten raw.
any info would be great thanks

Oh it's fine I love that stuff, it's kind of crunchy and malty. I love it, and alwasy eat it raw.
There's pretty much no way you'll get sick, but they technically have to say that, incase someone does.
Raw soya protein is a really healthy food, and in that form it;s dried. If you'd seen moist spots and mold, then OK maybe you'd be concerned with reason. But its dry and crunchy and as benign as cat food.
It won't kill you -- typically there's a risk of food poisoning if you see a warning like that. Food poisoning isn't guaranteed, but they have to put it on the label to avoid liability. When did you eat it? If it was within the last 30 minutes, head to your local drugstore and buy some activated charcoal tablets. Even if it's been longer than 30 minutes, activated charcoal won't hurt.
I'm super cautious about avoiding food poisoning, after a past experience with it. I take activated charcoal if I realize I've eaten anything questionable.
Apparently Eskimos use to eat it raw, but it can cause bloating.
Try to flush your system with lots of water and a laxative. If you have cramps tomorrow, go to the doctor
