What is a simple yet tasty way to eat blueberries?!

Question: What is a simple yet tasty way to eat blueberries?
I see them staring at me in the fruit section but im scared wasting them(expensive) and what is the best way to prepare them? are they sour? sweet? do you just rinse them then throw them on your cereal? or could i mush them on my toast with honey? i need a really tasty healthy way to eat YET simple and easy to prepare

Answers:

you dont need to get creative with it. the key is to get good ones. dont go straight for the cheapest ones. good quality, fresh, perfectly ripe (and i advise organic) blueberries are delicious - rinse them off and keep them in a cool place.. in a bowl out of the sunlight.. eat them 1 by 1 or by the handful whenever you want a snack. that's the simplest, easiest, healthiest, and in my opinion definitely the tastiest way to eat them.

they'll only last a few days before they get overripe and nasty
if theyre pretty firm they are probably under ripe and will be sour, but if you dont plan on eating them right away getting young blueberries is a good bet. theyll ripen in your house

and i dont advise mushing them on your toast haha :] that would be....gross

they're pretty bland actually. You can make them very nice by simmering in a pan with a tiny bit of lemon jiuce and sugar. Gently simmer and then add a dollop of sour cream and eat like a fruit compote.
Putting them with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries is good too, in a summer pudding.

I'd add them to lain yoghurt, with some brown sugar and some granola. Let it sit a few hours and eat like that- raw and plain.

they are sweet, and I put them in smoothies, in pancakes/muffins/cupcakes, I'll eat them plain, I'll eat them with my cereal, I have never actually put them in toast but I certainly will tomorrow morning with some agave nectar (substitute for honey if you didn't know) and there are tons of recipes involving the little blue devils. Yeah, they are very fun to eat and very easy to throw in things.

Blueberries are a good detoxifier.

They are good in pancakes, muffins, scones (use frozen ones in all of those to keep them from turning batter blue). Good in smoothies, tossed on cereal, folded into trifle, made into jam and jelly and are good just plain. I even toss them in gravy for roast chicken with a bit of lemon zest.

My favorite way is with full unwhipped cream and honey drizzled on fresh berries.

Smoothies, oatmeals, desserts, eating them alone . . . buy them only when they're in season so that they're both full of flavor and inexpensive. :-)

Chobani plain Greek yogurt
Quaker oats Oatmeal
Posts Grape nuts cereal
Plain Cheerios
Plain Kefir
Enjoy with mixed fruit

Smoothies! :) Yum.

I like to toss them into my oatmeal in the morning. Its very good!
