Vegetarian diet: do you think I'm deficit in something; my mouth?!
Answers:
Sigh... ignore the person who thinks fish are suitable for vegetarians. The term vegetarian means no slaughter products. Words do have real meanings, and the folks who invented the word vegetarian were pretty clear about it meaning no animals whatsoever. A pescetarian diet is a healthy one, but is in no way, shape, or form a vegetarian diet. This isn't "hate-mongering," this is using language correctly.
Anyway, it could be panic/anxiety.. maybe you have a mild allergy. Have you been eating more acidic foods lately? A deficiency would probably cause tingling elsewhere. Look for sores, too. Sometimes, HSV has similar feelings before they appear.
No chance it's B12 unless you were already deficient, so you should have got the same symtpoms before this. It could be some other deficiency or allergy. Do you get dizzy spells? It sounds like it could be circulation (ie iron problem) but is most likely allergy (eg allergen contacts fingers then mouth, you get tingling in fingers and mouth).
I'm allergic to kiwi fruit and it makes the back of my throat tingle in a really unpleasant way, so does avocado (sad face). I'm allergic to some nuts and they make my nose tingle like I need to sneeze. So I'm thinking an allergy is a reasonable possibility in your case. Is there something new you started to eat when you went vego? That could be the culprit.
Anyway the best thing to do is to start by visiting a doctor. They'll take blood and look at iron etc. If its all clear, you'll go on an elimination diet to identify the allergen. Its a good idea to do this rather than not worry about it as allergies tend to get worse over time if ignored.

Sounds like a B12 deficiency to me. From VEGAN Dr. Jack Norris:
"B12 protects the nervous system. Without it, permanent damage can result (e.g., blindness, deafness, dementia). Fatigue, and tingling in the hands or feet, can be early signs of deficiency."
You need to be taking a B12 pill or shot. "Fortified" foods are not a reliable source for B12. Processed cereals are some of the worst foods you can eat.
Dr. Norris' website also offers info on other supplements you should be taking. Take time to read it.
The tannins in raw nuts can cause sores in the mouth.

The only way you're going to know for sure is to go to the doctor and get tests done. Get the whole works done at the same time - B12, iron, ferritin, glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, total lipids, blood pressure, heart rhythm, hepatitis B, whatever other tests the doctor suggests. It could be a deficiency. It could be an allergy. It could be a disease. It could be just about anything. But it's definitely something that needs to be checked out.
Most B12 deficiency is NOT diet-related. It usually stems from the body's decreased ability to absorb the vitamin from food. It becomes more common, the older the age group. If you have it, the worst case scenario is a B12 injection every 6 months.
ive never heard of iron deficiency causing numbness or tingling inthe mouth
this sounds more liek either a nerve issue , nervs go through changes as well as the rest of us, ive had numbness for a while in my fingers and hand, then it just, went a way, on its own
or even a food intolerance
but id see the doctor about it, ask to see a dermatologist andmaybe try to get an alergy test
, the dentist is a good idea, who knows, maybe you have some teeth problems that youve not been aware of till now
Mm... try this, it rocks! http://cool10.info/fresh-vegetables

I agree with Julia. And your symptoms dont scream out iron defict. and please dont listen to the guy who says eat fish. the dumbest answer on here
Yes, you are iron deficient and also lacking in complete protein. Even on vegetarian diet, you still want to include some fish. You can still eat fish and be a vegetarian. Don't listen to the hate-monger vegans on here, they are stupid.
