Vegetarians, what do you do when you see a cockroach in your house?!

Question: Vegetarians, what do you do when you see a cockroach in your house?
Do you respect his life, do you kill him, what do you do?

Answers:

Firstly, I vegetarian but i have vegan attitude in terms of not harming animals. (I live in a house of meat-lovers, being vegan would be near to impossible)

I have never had a cockroach in my house (I live in England) but i even feel a little guilty if i squash a fly :/ So i would take it outside, and let it go (obviously not just outside the door lol)

I'm vegan.

Being vegan isn't about being a martyr, and you have a responsibility to deal with things that carry disease and threaten your health or that of your family.

Cockroaches do just that.

If having done your best to keep them out, you find they are still there then sorry but killing them can be the only option.
They carry and spread diseases like dysentery, typhoid, poliomyelitis and gastroenteritis. They can't be persuaded to leave; the exterminator is your only option.

Being vegan is about minimising your contribution to the suffering and exploitation of animals as far as is possible. Risking your health and even your life, or those of your family, is not required.

I'm not a vegetarian but I respect its life very much. We should respect every animals' or insects' life, should respect every lifes.

For me, I will just sweep it out from my house instead of killing it. By the way, cockroach won't killed by stomped, it will come alive again (that's good) but I will still not to stomp them anyway.

Being a vegetarian or not (because I'm not), I wouldn't feed it to myself or to any of my frogs because cockroaches from the streets may carry a lot of diseases. I never find cockroaches in my house, so it's not a real problem, but in my boyfriend's house I get to see a lot. Then it's up to him (he feeds them to his leopard geckos).

Scream, leave the room, and pretend it isn't there.

I know some vegans have gotten to the point of capturing the critter in a jar and putting him/her outside, but I still haven't gotten over the "ick" factor yet. I'm fine with denial.

Vegan

Call the exterminator.

I am not a vegan, and even if I were I would sweep the cockroach our of the house. They travel full of salmonella and are better outside.

Kill it. Stomping on a annoying roach and killing an inocent lamb are totally different.

Sorry, it's still considered meat. You can't eat it.

I eat it because I'm so deprived of the super special awesome magic protein I need!

Pour bleach on it and sweep it out of your house

ask my mom.

I clean my kitchen better.
I don't kill it, no point. he's got friends....I clean, and they don't come anymore.

lay out some crumbs for it to eat

i take it outside. it has a role in the ecosystem

i eat

I'd kill it & feed it to my bird.
