Tablet for vegetarians? Am I anaemic?!
I think maybe I've had this problem for a while, but recently I feel like it's gotten worse because I feel I need help or something.
I'm 18 by the way, and I've been a vegetarian since I was 14.
Am I lacking vitamins or something? I don't think a lot of people feel so awful when they're 'ready for lunch' or whatever, because I don't even have to be starving to feel so bad.
If I eat something nice and filling/wholesome then I feel happy again.
Please help!

The only way to find out for sure is go to a Dr. and get your blood tested, Then see a nutritionist.
i had this problem and i went to my local gp and he put he in for a blood test, he said he thoguht i was anemic, and my blood pressure was slightly slow,
my mum got me some vitamin and iron medicine from my local pharmacy and i felt a lot better then i had my blood test results and i was fine, try getting some iron and vitamins into you, dark green vegetables help! :)
iron does not stay in the body for long .
a lot of people are anaemic
ask the chemist (and keep a diary)as for iron tablets.
they are not expensive.
if you still not bucked up see your doctor it could be more hormonal. a blood test should set your mind at ease also take a sample of your pee to rule out a high sugar level.
above all don't worry i wish you well.
Good Luck!

Why dont you have a snack mid morning and afternoon, carry some fruit, especially bananas and nuts and crackers around with you. Check with your doctor in case you have a medical cause, but if you eat a well balanced veggie diet then that wont be making you feel ill it will be for another reason that only your GP can diagnose.
Then eat something. You probably need more protein. I snack on pecan nuts for a quick pick up. Listen to your body; it runs out of gas, you stall; fill the tank and you are up and running. Do not get hooked on the "give me a pill to solve all my problems" nonsense. Teens require good food and healthy proteins.
are you just simply depressed?..see a dr soon hun..
or
try eating more pulses and feel good fruit like peaches and plumbs..also nibble on seeds and nuts during the day..eat something you like and eat a little more of that treat your self....might be your lacking iron to ......drink a can of stout..sounds weird but its a good lift drink.....especially around you monthly period..Mackeson Stout as its sweeter than other Guinness type drinks...good luck.
Some good advice is already posted, but perhaps your diet is lacking in B12. You can have your doctor check for a deficiency. If so, take sublingual tablets.

since veggies diets tend to be low in fat the food is cleaner and has less calories that's why you burn the energy faster. You should eat more calories :) make sure they are healthy!
Go to your doctor and ask for a blood test - that will tell you if you are anaemic. It till also be able to pinpoint any other problems.
Depends on what you are eating for breakfast you could be having problems keeping your blood sugar level.
It sounds to me that you're not eating enough of what you have to. You should eat a bigger breakfast, and it's very important to eat a snack, take some Kashi bars to school, peanuts, or even fruit! You have to keep giving your body that energy because it runs out quickly. If you go all day with only eating breakfast, of course you're going to feel sad, grumpy, and anxious at the end of the day. I always feel the exact same way after a day without eating, being stuck at school and not being able to eat really brings you down. So just try to take some snacks with you to keep your energy up. Drink lots of water too keep hydrated because lack of water also causes dizziness, sickness feeling.

It's probably the foods your eating, not the vegetarian lifestyle itself. Are you eating lots of fresh produce, grains, nuts, beans, dairy products and eggs (you didn't say you were vegan) every day? Or do you microwave a soy burger, slap it on a bun with catchup and call it dinner? The thing people don't think about is the fact vegetarianism USED to be universally healthy, but isn't anymore. Back in the day, it truly was a healthier lifestyle because there were no highly processed junk food products for vegetarians. Everything was made from scratch, with healthy, fresh ingredients. They also actually ate a lot of fruits and vegetables, that's one of the main points of the lifestyle after all. Now there are entire sections at the grocery store with meat free products, but they're not in the least bit healthy. Look at the back of a Morningstar Farms box. Do you know what (or can even pronounce) half the ingredients are? If your not cooking from scratch, your not doing it right, and naturally you feel bad. Try eating healthier, pick up a few vegtarian cookbooks at the library, and copy your favorite recipes (or just look them up online). Finally, see a doctor before taking anything, whether it's OTC or not. Have proper blood tests done to see what exactly your lacking in, and by how much. Iron supplements can KILL you if you take too much, and you may be lacking in something other than iron in the first place. Eat healthier, and see a doctor to find out the cause.
Vegetarian for 12 years (and I went through all of high school and college making 3 meals a day, from scratch, with fresh ingredients. I'm am healthier than 99.9% of the population because I take the time to make sure what I put in my body is nourishing. I also don't need supplements, my doctor says I'm probably his healthiest patient).
no thats not a usual sign of anemia
it seems more like a sign your not eating a good breakfast, because you say it afects your mood after you eat when the energy wears off
and that is a typical description of that
theres a reason we have specific things to eat for breakfast, you spend about 8 hours in bed not eating anything, so when you get up, your body is starving, and it needs to use the energy properly
if you eat sugary things you will get all that sugar right away, use it fast, and then your body feels bad and wants more, because its not using it properly
so you have an energy boost, then an energy slump, which is what your describing
where as if you eat more oaty type things, like oaty based cereals, weetabix etc etc your body takes it in slowly digests it over time, and uses the energy properly
so you dont feel bad afterwards cos you dont have an energy boost, then slump
