I want to drizzle something over apples and raisins and I want it to be light maybe a brown sugar thing or..?!

Question: I want to drizzle something over apples and raisins and I want it to be light maybe a brown sugar thing or..?
Some kind of a fruit based thing. I know lemon juice will keep the apples from turning but shouldn't I use something else? Do not say mayo or yogurt I don't like that kind of thing.

Mix some sugar (brown or white) with Cinnamon and a tad of water to make a syrup to pour over the apples.

one thing that is great with apples and raisins is caramelized onions. You may not think it, but its really good- saute diced red onion in oil slowly til it's soft, brown and caramelized.

Other toppings- brown sugar and lemon is simple, but will be really good.

PIneapple- get canned pineapple rings ( r fresh) and grill them until they are browned and caramelized each side- before grilling sprinke brown sugar on each side.

Pecans and a little brown sugar. Not fruity, but would be so good.

Lemon curd- you could make a custard out of egg yolk, sugar and vanilla essence.

Apples go great with lighter yellow flavours- so if you have green grapes, you can make a grape compote- simmer the green grapes in lemon juice and a little sugar, til the are softened and mushy. This is a really refreshing compote on top of darker richer flavours.

Rhubarb also goes well- the tartness really goes great with apple. I'd add vanilla ice cream to taht one.

Add a few crumbles of granola, just an idea.

look at the recipe for carmelized bananas, you can just make the glaze and use it on your apples/raisins

Brown rice syrup or a light, natural maple syrup make excellent toppings for fruit.

Try lemon juice mixed with powdered sugar, or just straight up lemon juice.
