eat some meat STAT.
Jeez, DON'T tell me you are not eating good food.
It just sounds like you've eliminated some food and aren't even aware of the nutrients your body needs.
Dry eyes- vitamin A, D, B, fats. Sweet potato, kale, red orange peppers, broccoli, nuts.
Tired- lack of iron, protein. Spinach, lentils, chickpeas, fava beans, nuts, peanut butter
Sore throat-vit C- fruits. rich veg, like kale, spinach, pumpkin, yams, sweet potatoes,
Sore gums- vitamin C- as above.
Seeds and nuts- you should be eating at least some every day- peanut butter, almond butter, almond milk, sunflower seeds spread, pumpkin seeds, wholegrain bread, granola.
YOu should always eat rich coloured vegetables- sweet potato, pimpkins, beets ( very good), peas, kale, broccoli, soy beans.
Fruit- vitamin C- bananas, coconut ( for oils and energy ) apples, grapes, small dark berries.
Soy- so good for your body, calcium ( could be adding to the gums), protein, fibre.
You honestly sound slike you'rre just cutting out food. That isn't good.
You have to eat real food now. REAL food. As above.
You can't rely on the American style diet of meat and white bread, but take out half of it. You have to eat differently, and MUCH better now.
You aren't.
how horribly were you eating prior to being vegan? if you went from a steady stream of candy and happy meals to vegan over night, it might just be your body detoxing.
there is also a chance its an allergy. have you been eating lots of soy? if youre eating 20 soy chicken nuggets a day, it may be that.
I highly doubt it's because of your diet. If you're deficient in anything, symptoms will not show up this soon. You probably have something unrelated, unless you're just not getting enough calories.
i'm vegetarian
um...that really DOESNT sound like its being caused by your diet (except maybe the fatigue part) see your doctor, and take a complete vegan multivitamin!

I don't know...that's really strange. Have you been making sure to get adequate amounts of fat/protein in your diet? Have you started eating new foods you didn't before? You could be experiencing some sort of allergic reaction.
You could have just contracted a virus...you know, just got sick by chance. Without knowing your actual diet, I can't assess what you may be deficient in. Please contact me if you'd like me to do so.
I'm not sure; but it could be what some people call "a healing crisis". It happens when your body eliminates all the toxins you had accumulated over the years. That could be it.
yes. go see a primary care physician. then refer to a dietitian.
See a Dr so you can get proper answers
No.
its probably just a lack of nutrients
I think 30 days is pretty quick to actually develop a deficiency...unless you weren't eating very well when you went vegan.
The fatigue might be low iron. Iron in animal products (meat, eggs, dairy) is heme iron and your body absorbs and uses it much easier than the non heme iron in veggies. You need to eat a lot of the iron rich veggies to keep your iron levels up. But, again, if you had good iron levels a month ago, it's hard to see how you can be deficient today.
The vomiting and sore throat sound more like some sort of virus. But the only way to be sure is to eat some animal products and see if it helps. The "a vegan no more" girl said this about her first meat in 3.5 years:
"My first bite of meat after more than 3 years of veganism was both the hardest and easiest thing I’ve ever done. Tears ran down my face as saliva pooled in my mouth. The world receded to a blank nothingness and I just ate, and ate, and ate. I cried in grief and anger, while moaning with pleasure and joy. When I took the last bite I set back and waited to feel sick. I had just devoured a hunk of dead animal, the most evil thing I could conceive of, surely my body would reject this debasement and I would feel vindicated that I truly was meant to be a vegan.
Instead, my face felt warm, my mind peaceful, and my stomach full but….I searched for a word to describe how it felt….comfortable. I realized that for the first time in months I felt satiated without the accompaniment of stomach pain. I had only eaten a small piece of cow flesh, and yet I felt totally full, but light and refreshed all at once. I reveled in that new and unexpected combination of sensations. How amazing it was not to need to eat for an hour solid till my stomach stretched and distended over my pants just to buy an hour or two of satiety. How beautiful it felt to be able to eat the exact thing that for so long my body had been begging for. I felt profoundly joyful in finally listening to the wisdom of my body. What a revelation.
Then I noticed something else odd: my heart was beating slowly, steadily. Normally, after a typical meal of veggies, rice and beans, or other starchy fare, my heart would race and skip for an hour or so afterward. Several visits with a cardiologist, more blood work, an EKG and an echo-cardiogram had confirmed that my heart was in perfect shape. The cardiologist explained that the unnerving post-meal palpitations were a symptom of my deficiencies, as well as a sign of blood sugar instability caused by the massive servings of carbohydrates I was consuming. Now after eating a single piece of steak, my heart thudded on, steady, strong, and slow. It made me cry all over again, this time in joy.
Every day for the past 2 months I have eaten fish or a piece of meat or eggs. To my never ending shock I have found that I digest a meat and veggie meal far, far better than I ever digested a whole grain/nut/veggie meal. I know that the lipid hypothesis is completely fallacious, these animal foods won’t hurt me or cause me ill health in anyway, in fact, the vitamins and minerals they provide, along with the nutritious cholesterol and wholesome saturated fat, will restore my health. And they have. There are few things as healthy and nutritious as grass fed, organic animal products. So, for these past months, I ate animals and animal products every single day. And, I say with a huge, grateful smile on my face: I’m back! After 1 month on my new diet my blood levels were either normal, or almost normal. After 2 months every single deficiency and out of whack number was completely restored to the healthy, normal range. Not one problem. Not one. "
