is salt unhealthy for you?!

Question: Is salt unhealthy for you?
i exercise in the gym now

Answers:

When people consume salt, the body is constantly trying to get rid of it but can only get rid of so much per day with you consuming more everyday. So it stores the excess under the skin. Salt needs to absorb lots of water to prevent it from being toxic. So salt causes a lot of water weight.

Salt is unhealthy if you over consume it. Just put a pinch of salt in your dishes.

But if you are loosing too much salt through sweating when you are taking exercises in the gym, then you might as well be in a dangerous condition. So whenever taking a work out, drinking isotonic beverages will do you good.

Hope this helps you.

Salt has been getting a bit of a bad rep recently for causing health problems.. however, I've just started doing high impact cardio at the gym and I've been told to make sure I have enough salt otherwise you get really bad cramp (which I did yesterday, and MAN it was bad). So, if ur working out you might want to up your salt intake a bit (if you've been avoiding it) but just make sure you drink lots of water too. :)

you should have it in moderation. But I mean even if you drink too much water you could die. Anything is bad for you if you have too much of it. But if you are trying to stay away from all the sodium then don't go to the fast food restaurants or eat chinese food. Chinese has so much sodium you can sometime see your fingers swell after you've eaten too much of it.

Taking more salt is unhealthy but we have to take salts otherwise we will loose energy

salt is like anything else, you need some of it but no more than 100% of your daily value.

Too much of anything is bad for you.

Too much salt is, but then so is too much of anything.

No.

Of course not. Your digestive system would not work without it!

Too much will give you high blood pressure and that is not good
