Vegan things at fast food and restaurants?!
Also, are there any vegan things that come from fast food restaurants such as taco bell? Are the potatoes vegan? Again, these food options are not my first choice by any means but when I am with friends and we are eating out I need to be able to eat something also.
Thanks in advance!

Before you go out to eat, check out either http://www.happycow.net, or http://www.veganeatingout.com. The former can help you find a vegan, vegetarian, or vegetarian-friendly restaurant in your area. This is nice in certain situations. For other situations, the latter can help you find out what dishes are vegan at many of the chain restaurants you could be going to. If all else fails, you should find a menu online, and call and ask about substitutions and ingredients. More than likely, the person on the phone will be more than happy to help you out.
TAco bell, you can order to suit you- bean burrito,
bean taco with salad, maybe the cheese is imitation cheese.
Bean and rice taco, burrito.
Crunchwrap supreme with beans and rice and guacomole
Volcano menu with only beans and rice
Fiesta potatos are vegan.
PS the fresco mmenu is vegan, and here's a link so you can see what normally has egg and milk in it.
Order the fresco for vegan version

type your street address in the search box of happy cow at http://www.happycow.net
also go to vegetarian-restaurants at http://www.vegetarian-restaurants.net
and vegan world order at http://www.veganworldorder.com/index.php…
you also could type phrases like "vegan restaurant", "vegetarian restaurant", and "health food store" or words like vegan and vegetarian in the search box to the left and type your street address in the search box to the right of yahoo! local at http://local.yahoo.com

you can pretty much make anything at taco bell vegan/vegetarian. instead of beef, sub beans. and instead of sour cream or cheese.. sub salsa :)
and of course you can eat potatoes. but a lot of restaurants season their taters with butter before they serve them.. you can ask them not to season them. but also be sure to ask what they do when they prep their items in the morning, as they may use something that's non-vegan to prepare them (like butter or sour cream).
maybe you can try a garden salad.. with oil and vinegar. <3
most fast food french fries are vegan... fried in vegitable oil
the most notable exception is McDonalds that uses beef for flavoring.
specific choices can be found on the net... but looks like most of them are just bread and salads:

Many places are catering for vegans now. I usually have curry, pasta or jacket potato with salad if the menu is limited.I dont eat fast food because it is unhealthy and many outlets actively contribute towards animal cruelty and damage to the environment.
I like getting pizza with lots of veggies and no cheese. Most pizza dough doesn't contain eggs, but definitely ask.
I've always heard Taco Bell uses lard in their beans, maybe they stopped?
Most pasta dishes (that contain a tomato based sauce) at restaurants that are "vegetarian" are often also Vegan because they don't contain any creams or cheeses. You should also make sure because they may ad cheeses during the cooking.
Remember, you're the customer, they're the server. They are there to serve you. It doesn't hurt to ask questions about what you're eating, in fact I would recommend doing so.
Also, just because it's a vegetable does not mean it is vegan. Some restaurants use the same grill for veggies as they do meat. Veggies and soups may also be cooked in a broth made from an animal as well. While it is hard to find a true vegan meal at any restaurant, there are the few gems that are dedicated to serving vegans.
Potatoes are a vegetable....you are able to eat them. :)
