I feel sorry for you :(
u'll have to try making it over...
add canned chick peas (pureed a little at a time)
some flavoured oil (garlic flavoured olive)if u have it. if not plain olive oil will work
maybe some more garlic
some all purpose powdered seasoning may also help as well as some fresh ground cumin
if that doesn't work Dump It
BTW if there's liquid to the top, don't swirl it in - throw it out- it will only enhance the flavour of the tofu.
read the ingredients and add more tahini or garbanzo paste or herbs that are in the recipe tofu has a bland flavour and needs extra seasoning of what you already have to make it taste as good as if it was not in it. it has a way of pulling the flavour into it.
I'm not a fan of tofu at all, so I would just return it to the store unopened if at all possible. But since you opened it, I would just toss it and use legumes or other sources of protein.
Yuck. Why would they even make that. Hummus is already vegitarian.
You could try using it a a spread in sandw3iches or wraps. With LOTS of other ingredients.
why would they want to ruin hummus by putting tofu in there?
What I would do is add lemon juice, garlic and salt until it tastes good. That's what you do when you make hummus from scratch.
add more garlic or chickpeas or tahini
Add chickpeas, (blended), or salt and pepper.
