Can clothing be "vegetarian"?!

Question: Can clothing be "vegetarian"?
I'm a flexitarian, but I wear fur sometimes. And leather. I rarely eat meat. But, I would like to buy a pair of vegan shoes. I read in an article online that Natalie Portman (Actress) has been known to wear "vegan" clothes. Thank you!

Answers:

No, vegetarian refers to what you eat, but there is vegan clothing because vegans don't wear any animal products either. Vegan clothing has no animal products in it.

Nat said it best.

Sometimes clothing labels may say they are "vegetarian" but it would be more correct to say they are vegan. Vegetarian only applies to what you eat. Vegan can describe clothing, furniture, cosmetics, any item that does not have animal products in it.

There is no such thing as a flexitarian. You're an omnivore. That's the only special name you get.

Don't wear vegan stuff because someone famous did. Wear it because you care. Do research on the fur and leather industry.

there is such thing as vegan clothing and here's a website with some pretty cute clothes

Yes, because if you're a vegetarian for the cruelty reasons, you wouldn't wear real fur or leathers. The same goes for furniture.

most shoes are made of rubber and plastic so you should be fine
