VEGANS: What's the best brownie recipe you've ever used?!
Here's one I made that makes INCREDIBLE brownies. I got the original version from www.vegweb.com, and modified it by adding half part oil and half part applesauce, instead of all applesauce. I also added a handful of chocolate chips. It's soooooo good!

Will this material be on the exams Monday? I don't think so:)Just saying...
There's this amazing espresso brownie recipe in Vegan Cookies Take Over the World. Sometimes I just leave out the coffee things and make them plain.
Melted chocolate chips for the batter make for amazing brownies.
I use this one:

when I don't have a lot of *weirdo vegan* ingredients.
but with 2 tbsp extra oil, about 1/3 c melted chips (cut down on water for both, i usually add water last until consistency is good), and lots and lots of chocolate chunks.
Sometimes then I make a cream cheese topping (think blackbottom cupcake-ish) with tofutti/better than cream cheese, sugar, chocolate chips, bit of salt, bit cornstarch, bit of soy yogurt, and any extracts I feel like adding. I don't really follow a recipe for the filling, but I think it would be: 8oz cream cheese pack, ~1/3 s cugar, 1/3 c chips, pinch salt, 1/2-1 tsp starch, 1-2 tbsp yogurt, and 1/2-1 tsp extract(s). Those are estimates, but they're soooo good.
I've seen the recipe you mentioned, but it always seemed like it would be too dense. All the pictures look like it didn't rise at all. Is it actually like that?
EDIT: God, why are people being such assholes on here today? If you don't have an answer... don't answer.
Thanks for the recipe. I can cook but I can't bake, so I just use a box of Ghiradelli brownie mix and add egg replacer instead of egg, lol :)
