any tried and true vegan recipes you could share? please no tofu?!

Question: Any tried and true vegan recipes you could share? please no tofu?
i am trying to slowly incorporate vegan-ism into my life. However, besides using tofu, I have no idea what to cook. And i hate tofu, so I need ideas that do not include tofu but still provide all the health benefits a human needs.
Thanks

I post a lot of recipes here: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/
But the ones that have omnivore-approval are:

Fried Rice: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/34…
(here's how to cook rice if you don't know: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/29… )
Breakfast Hash: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/29…

Foul Meddames (pronounced Fool- Med-DAHM-us): http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/24…
Lumpia: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/21… (EVERYONE LOVES THIS)
Summer Rolls: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/21…
Pad Thai: http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/post/21…

These are all made with really cheap ingredients, too! I'm a student so that's important to me, lol :)

Anyway, if you make them I would love to hear back from you. Or you can email me from Y!A or ask a question on my Tumblr ( http://dailyveganeats.tumblr.com/ask ) with a list of foods you already enjoy and I can veganize them for you, no problem!

More links...Y!A only allows a certain number of links:

One suggestion: Just try to veganize recipes you already know. For example, My husband loves Bubble & Squeak. He just uses nondairy milk such as soy or almond milk and uses margarine in place of butter. I like chili. I just leave out the meat and use plenty of kidney beans and black beans with various types of peppers (Pablanos are my favorite) cooked potatoes and sometimes TVP (Textured Soy Protein) but I change it up from time to time. Try making pasta with marinara or pesto add some green peas, spinach or mushrooms. Make yummy vegetable sandwiches with mustard instead of mayo or you might try Veganaise (available at Wholefoods market and healthfood stores). Or just keep it simple: Lentils and rice, roasted vegetables and cous cous, potato or split pea soup or vegetables with hummus.

Experience.

All these recipes listed here are vegan:

Just keep practicing and experimenting till you get tastes you like.

Also, check out the how to section in that list and try some new grains.

hummus and pita bread. google how to make hummus. loaded with protein and whole grains from the pita bread. olive oil sphaghetti with garlic and parley is one my favourites.
