Morningstar Vegetarian patties...?!

Question: Morningstar Vegetarian patties...?
I just became a vegetarian, and my meal today was going to be white rice with mixed veggies and crumbled up Morningstar prime grillers (something like that) veggie patties, but there's one issue.

The patties tasted like death and made me gag. So they're now completely eliminated from my diet.

My question is: are the "chicken" products by Morningstar any good, or are they similar in flavor to the discs of death? Can I just substitute different varieties of beans for meat?

Also: I'm not going vegetarian because of any ethical/moral issues. I've been having stomach problems ever since I got my gallbladder taken out in June of 2010, and I'm trying to see if I do okay without digesting solid meat. I still use broths (sometimes) and eat fish. Anything else that I can use to make sure I don't become malnourished?

Answers:

Hi there. I love the morning star veggie patties. But for chicken I do Quorn brand.
You can try other fake meats, but my guess is your not going to be too happy, (since morning star is delicous).
Instead of replacing meats with fake meats, eat other foods that are high in protien, like beans or leafy greens. Peanut butter too :)

Morningstar stuff is gross. Boca Burger is, too. Try adding beans or nuts for protein instead. Or maybe some tofu or seitan. Also, remember that white rice is processed and not as healthy for you. I honestly prefer the texture of brown, red or wild rice. It's nice when you give up meat to have something with a nice hearty texture.

beans.

Don't know why you have to substitute meat. Just eat meat soup if you like it so much.

Beans, and legumes are better protein, and they existed before humans ate meat.
