When did the "Vegetarian & Vegan" subsection become "Diet & Fitness"?!

Question: When did the "Vegetarian & Vegan" subsection become "Diet & Fitness"?
Answers:

I was actually thinking it had turned into anorexia/haters. This should be a section where people can discuss vegetarianism and where people can get advice from experienced people. Instead it is all pro-ana and people who have nothing better to do than be mean to vegetarians because they either don't understand them or they feel the need to defend themselves.

When vegans and vegetarians started telling everyone it was healthier than a balanced diet that includes meat.

Even Ginny Messina, the veganRD, says that's not a good argument for veganism:

"There is, of course, a pretty good argument for eating more plants (lots more plants) and less animal food, but no one has shown that you must eat a 100 percent plant diet in order to be healthy. So to make an argument for a 100% vegan diet based on health benefits alone, we have no choice but to stretch the truth. We have to overstate the benefits of vegan diets, and sometimes minimize or dismiss the risks. And as soon as we stray from the actual facts, our advocacy is on shaky ground."

Please note:
"stretch the truth..." "stray from the actual facts..."

It is? Maybe you should look at the questions more carefully, where there are also discussions of animal rights, environmental issues, vego product information and recipes. The V&V sub category would be much more appropriate in the lifestyle category rather than food and drink.

I know right? It's irritating and I wish these boards were more tightly moderated.
