Question: Did I eat too much or too little ?
Hello, I'm 13 and going on a diet because I weigh too much :(

So, did I eat too much or too little ?!?


Breakfast: 2 yogurts // 1 water bottle

Lunch: cheese string // 1 water bottle

Dinner: mashed potatoes with meat //1
water bottle


Snack: 2 bread with jam


Did I eat too much ?!?

Noo, that sounds like the perfect amount. (:
But maybe at lunch instead of cheese you can have an apple?
And the butter in the mashed potatoes is probably not helping. You could eat a caesar salad instead.(:
And for snacks you should have plain celery. It's extremely low in calories.
Overall.. the portion sizes sound good. I would just change the food that you eat.(: Drinking a lot of water is REALLY good.. and it'll give you good nails and hair.(: remember to excercise also!

Not eat anything for dinner? Man, I can't believe the idiots that answer questions on here.


You can eat, and eat a lot while on a diet. You ate way to little. Breakfast should be filled with some fresh berries or some oranges... Lunch with some steamed vegetables... and dinner with like you said Mashed Poptatoes with meat.

A diet isn't just about what you eat and how much you eat it's about the amount of exercise you do and how your body reacts to the food that you put into your body.

Never go with out dinner or breakfast... That can make you gain weight it's self. Think about it, Make sure you get a good dinner because at night you don't eat for 8-10 hours depending on how long you sleep.



You didn't eat enough. String cheese just isn't an acceptable lunch, and you need fruits and vegetables. If you eat as little as you're eating, you might actually gain weight. When you starve yourself, your metabolism will slow down and your body will store fat out of fear of being deprived and needing an emergency store of nourishment.

Try a bowl of oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. Use peanut butter instead of jam - it will fill you up and give you protein. Snack on fruits and vegetables. Get some healthy, whole wheat carbs like bread, pasta and rice in there for energy. EAT, girl! It doesn't mean you have to overeat, or snack on fatty junk food. But you do have to eat. It's what we're designed to do. If you exercise, and feed your body healthy things in normal portions, you will lose weight without starving yourself.



Just have a big breakfast and then have a small lunch and then try not to eat anything for dinner
that's the best way to lose fat because eating nothing much in the morning really doesn't help :)



Can't tell unless you tell us portion size. Did you have 4 ounces of meat or 16?

You should eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. And mashed potatoes and jam don't count, so you had zero.



If you think that is too much, you need some serious help? Where are the vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes???
And why is this in the vegetarian and vegan section?



You didn't eat enough and you asked in the wrong category. Your parents should monitor what you eat because clearly you are not mature enough to decide for yourself.



That is an absolutely awful diet. WHERE ARE THE VEGETABLES??? You should be eating lots of steamed veggies when you're on a diet.
