my question is what is the best way to keep it affordable? i come from a low-income family, and have no preference on what i eat. i just wanna keep it simple and consistant. i do have a health foods store a few miles from me however they are a little pricey.
i went on fitclick.com and made a meal plan based on 2000 calories.
breakfast- 2 egg whites, 2 cups oj, 2 eggo waffles(450 cal)
snack-nature valley granola
lunch-2 tbs jiff natural, 2 slices toast, 1 banana, 1 cup choc soy milk(573 cal)
snack-nature valley granola
dinner-vegetarian nachos(dorritos, kidney beans, shredded cheese, sliced tomatoes, salad) (515)
thats just under 2000 but if i hope im on the right track, would love to hear or see ppls info or thoughts

Last I checked, Meat was the most expensive thing, followed by dairy.
No need to go to pricey health food shops. Why?
Lentils, chickpeas, pinto beans, navy beans, fava beans, split peas, black beans , black eye peas,
brown rice.
Walnuts, peanuts peanut butter
almonds almond butter, cashews, brazil nuts, soymilk, tofu, soycheese.
Etc etc- these are the cheapest foods in the world- legumes, lentils, beans and pulses.
They have more protein than dairy and meat aswell.
Meats and dairy are much more expensive than vegetables and fruits. Being vegetarian is so much more cheaper! You don't have to buy those fake meats, they're expensive and well - gross! They're just a bunch of processed crap. Vegetables, fruits, rice, and beans are very inexpensive and there are numerous things you can do with them! Just like meat, vegetables can be cooked in lots of ways.
You got me... Best of luck! http://styleasy.info/81795/cheese-slice

Being sick and having low energy isn't from eating meat. It's from eating processed carbs like Eggo waffles and nachos. It's also from not consuming enough vitamins and minerals.
Oh yeah, it's the meat making you feel sick...
I don't see any green veggies there. Green salad is practically void of any vitamins and minerals. Eggo waffles? They're almost 50% carbs, 35% fat!

More carbs for lunch (toast), and snack (granola). More fat in peanut butter and chocolate soy milk (sugar).
Dinner. More fat (doritos). The only thing I see here that's good are the kidney beans.
No, this is not a healthy diet. Processed carbs (bread, granola, dorritos, toast) are not the way you should be eating. Those things turn to sugar quickly in your body, spiking your glucose levels, leading to obesity and possibly diabetes if you do this for a very long time. Calories are important, but you're eating too many empty calories, IMO.
