are vegans allowed to eat the placenta.?!

Question: Are vegans allowed to eat the placenta.?
like i heard that some sick/gross people like to eat their placenta after birth but i was wondering if any vegans like to eat it.

Answers:

I think that would fall under the same "category" as breast milk especially since those who eat or are encouraged to eat placenta are actually the very same mothers who just gave birth.

Geeez, that is pretty disgusting. I guess it would be considered vegetarian is it was not meat, but I'm not sure about it technically being vegan. Vegans don't eat certain things even that do not directly involve dying such as eggs and milk. Seeing that they eat no animal by products I guess the answer would be no.

Sick/ Gross is fairly relative. I mean if you're prepared to butcher a pig to eat it why is eating a placenta gross/ sick.
It's more a cultural thing. I''m not going to eat a placenta. But equally I'm not going to eat a dog. But, logically speaking it's no more gross than eating pig flesh.

Vegans are ALLOWED to eat whatever they choose to.
They CHOOSE to not eat animal products,
the ethical ones because they disagree with the notion of sentient creatures as property.
That notion has nothing to do with eating a placenta.
