Can I beat an egg intolerance?!
I really like eggs and the intolerance is very annoying to me, now that it's starting to effect other things I eat I want to see if there is a way I can become tolerant to eggs again. I've tried Egg Beaters, but generally they give me the same reaction maybe to a slight lesser degree.
Any suggestions on how I can rid myself of an egg intolerance? If I gradually introduce eggs regularly into my diet, will that help?
Thanks.

Just eating eggs will probably make your allergy worse. An allergy is an immune system response to a substance you consume which is acting like a toxin. Most commonly this is because the food is not able to be digested properly and this can damage tissues and have flow on effects to your internal chemistry. For example dairy allergies are typically caused by an insufficient amount of the digestive enzyme lactase which breaks down the milk sugar lactose, and when this unbroken molecule moves to the lower parts of the GI tract it causes problems.
So whether you can overcome it depends on the source of the problem. If you lack the enzymes required to digest the proteins or fats in the egg then you can enhance your enzyme levels by eating raw vegetables or taking a liquid vegetable enzyme supplement. If it is some other reason then I'm not sure if it can be overcome. In any case, no more eggs until you know what the problem is!

i would go to a doctor and see if you had a intolerance (you body doesn't have the enzymes to break down something in the milk) or an allergy (you body see something in eggs, like the protein, as foreign and harmful ans sends agent to attack it). Either way i don't think there's much you can do unless you grow out of it. I know someone that was allergic to milk when he was younger but he grew out of it.
good luck
Generally, the only way you can combat intolerance is to stop eating the things you are intolerant of. Eggs aren't that great for you anyway, and most Westerners get way too much protein.
i would spend a few bucks and go to an allergist for an allergen test. It's a good idea to know what you are allergic to.
