Why are meat-eaters so eager to display their ignorance on this site?!

Question: Why are meat-eaters so eager to display their ignorance on this site?
Vegetarians and vegans will never be influenced by their uneducated comments, when will they realise that they are wasting ther time?

Answers:

I don't know why meat eating people come here at all actually.

SOme seem nice, not being all daft about it, and want to find out info. They feel threatened or pissed off I guess.

Your having a laugh are you not, someone who asks this sort of thing and puts this drivel shows their own ignorance.

One thing I have noticed is the large uneducated and one sided comments from some veg/vegans and the problem is that it is being passed on to new veg/vegans so how can they make a informed decision!!

I answer on this section because their is a gap in knowledge regarding farming and animal issues and stop the USA trolling trying to scare the UK into thinking everything is intensified and pumped full of hormones!!

Also make them aware that their choices are up to them but please do not make it for animal reasons as being veg/vegan does nothing for them as it is a personal human choice and that if they do or not change that they have to support organic and free range or they might as well support intensive if they do nothing!! Another big factor to consider is human growth!!

Farm labourer, gillie, cares for my environment and Omnivore with sense!!

Well, it is supposed to be a place where you have your questions answered. There's a fine line between asking a legitimate question and displaying ignorance. If the question seems honestly curious, rather than abusive, I try to answer it.

If it's just a rant, then I ignore it or report it (if it violates the rules, e.g. it's abusive or there's no question there at all).

A lot of times, too, YA seems to mis-categorize questions in the vegetarian section that don't legitimately belong here, which is why we get so many "I ate three cheerios today, will I get fat?" questions.

why do vegetarians ask provoking questions??

its 50/50
always will be

and yes, i am vegetarian

Every group on yahoo has their trolls. However, if you think it's bad in this section I suggest you head on over to the religious section. There are more atheists there than religious followers ;)

Im a meat eater but I'm not ignorant,to each their own is what I say.

yes, i am vegetarian

I guess the same reason you do it.

It's just food. People need to relax.

leave them alone, people are entitled to their own opinions

we all eat meat in some form or other (oral sex) springs to mind

Most of the "ignorance" here actually comes from vegetarians; and they are eager to display it with bold, passionate arrogance, while completely oblivious to illogical, irrational nature of their "beliefs".

The ability of so many vegetarians to deliver their "ignorant" statements with a witty insulting and smug tone such as yours does nothing to diminish their "ignorant" nature.

* Jamie- What makes you think you know anything about my religious beliefs?

LOL! It's the veg*ns who are usually ignorant about their own diet. Look at the people who continue to insist that you can get B12 from plant sources! Two VEGAN registered dietitians agree that vegans must supplement with manufactured B12! (VeganHealth and theveganRD)

Look at the people who come on here and say "I'm a vegetarian. I only eat chicken (or fish or sausage or....). Look at the people who come on here and say "tell me what to eat" or "Did I eat too much"? Obviously these people don't have a clue about eating as a veg*n.

I don't think anybody cares what you eat. I certainly don't. But I do feel strongly that you shouldn't "misrepresent" eating meat to other people. Meat is a nutritious, healthy food. Cutting one entire food group out of your diet is not healthy.
