?That is a problem that should be discussed with a Doctor.?

Considering you are asking this on Thanksgiving, I would look into how much you are eating rather than what you are eating. Overeating, especially rich foods which often are not meat based tend to be the cause of what you're describing, so a little more fiber and a little less food might be in order.

Tara, constipation and diarrhea are polar opposites of conditions. One does not cause the other. In this case the concern is diarrhea or at the very least extremely soft stool. Most meat will not cause these symptoms unless it was either poorly prepared, or as other ingredients in the dish that make it extremely rich and calorie dense.

All in all, if you're 14 then follow the mantra of eating what's on your plate, it's definitely a good one. The caveat is though that at your age you should be fairly capable of putting things on your plate for yourself and knowing how much you need to eat.

Meat generally causes constipation, which can result in diarrhea, but this would not happen right after you eat. It takes a while for food to go through the whole digestive process, so when you say it makes you go, it's impossible that what's coming out is the meat. However, becoming a vegetarian is a great idea, but if you do not live amongst vegetarians, you may wish to be a vegetarian most of the time. At some times you may have no other options, so for those days just go ahead and eat what's ever put in front of you.

That's kinda strange. Vegetables contain a lot of cellulose and that's hard for humans to digest. So we wind up passing a lot of it as fibre, which helps speed up digestion.

Is this a ploy to get your folks to allow you to become a vegetarian? I doubt it will work. But if you're wanting to be a vegetarian, talk to your folks, offer to cook a couple of vegetarian meals a week AND clean up after them. Offer to do the meal planning and shopping for those meals. Everyone on this board assures us that you can eat cheaper as a veg*n than a meat eater. Here's your chance to show your folks that's true.

Good luck....Hope you're not coming down with some sort of stomach flu....

I am worried that you are getting some sort of food poisoning happening. Take a FoodSafe course and figure out what is happening.

Go to your doctor and do a couple of tests - yes you will have to give a sample but that is one of the only ways to find out what is wrong.

I get the same thing when I eat asiago cheese!! Baked, fried, grated or anything!

And remember to wash your hands when handling food, before you eat and anytime you may have become contaminated.

Hello

Yes try it, its your bodies way of telling you that it does not agree with the meat you are eating. Get some books out from the library and show your parents them as well so they can help you ok.

Lots of Love
