question about quitting taco bell?!

Question: Question about quitting taco bell?
So i started working at taco bell about two weeks ago but i hate it so i want to quit. There's just too much to do and too many abbreviations on the register i just don't like it. If i quit now what should i do about my check? I still haven't gotten my fist pay check yet. Should i call and just say i won't be working there anymore? Also, i'm applying to other places now, should i include taco bell on my job history since i have only worked for about 2 weeks (taco bell was my first job by the way) Thanks!

You only want to put on a job application, previous places where you have worked and left in good graces.

don't quit until you find a "better" job. And don't quit because you don't like it, quit because "I've found a better opportunity elsewhere." Give 2 weeks notice and finish out those 2 weeks.

On future applications you can list Taco Bell, and give your reason for leaving as "found better job".
You don't want to give the impression that you will quit a job just because you don't like it.

I WORK AT TACO BELL! And have been for a year and a half while I go to school.
Not by choice. Finding another job is hard.
Don't quit until you have another job! I'll hopefully have a new one Monday lol

AS FOR YOUR PAYCHECK-
You have only worked 2 weeks, and the pay is every two weeks with a week to process your check. Therefore you get paid on the 3rd week UNLESS one of your weeks was on one pay period and the other one was on another. Then your boss may be adding your first week to the other pay period, so your first check should have 3 weeks worth of work on it. :-)
Ask a co-worker when the last checks were distributed and when the next ones should be coming out.

If you quit without notice (ie, tell them you just don't work there anymore), and you use them as a reference for your new job applications, guess what they are going to tell the new person thinking about hiring you?
"Don't hire her, she quit without notice. She's not worth your time to train, she only stayed 2 weeks."

You'll never get a job with that kind of reference!
If you quit that way, you'll have to NOT use them as a reference.
Got news for you too -- if something as EASY as working fast food is too hard for you, you won't enjoy working anywhere.
Welcome to the real world.

Welcome to the world of working. You should give Taco Bell two weeks notice, and then you can let people know that you worked for a short time at Taco Bell and found that it was not a good fit for you. Giving notice is the proper way to quit a job. Practice good work skills even now. Focus on what you learned from the experience, as that is a positive. To say, it was too much work and too many abbreviations on the register will not go over well in an interview. Honesty is always best. Great practice for your future. We aren't all cut out to do the same job. Thank goodness!

just quit, go in and pick up your check. it's not worth it anyways, even at full time you'd make like 700 a month. **** taco bell and fast food in general. you're better than taco bell(fast food in general), remember that.

I say stick it through until u get ur first pay. Then quit and ur problems are solved.Include taco bell bcuz its not like they will care how long u worked right? I hope you well in the future!

YOU SHOULD ASK FOR YOU PAYCHECK.
yeah, you should include it in, they need to know if you have experience xD

Why is this in Vegetarian & Vegan?

Do not include it on your job history - working somewhere for only 2 weeks looks absolutely atrocious and future employers will think you'd do the exact same to them. Don't lie if they ask you if you've ever worked, but don't offer this information up on an application either.

Do keep in mind your next job is still going to have a lot to learn too, so at some point you just going to have to deal with being new and not knowing enough and work through it. That goes for any job from working at taco bell to a professional job like software engineer or even doctor (just think how long it takes a new doctor in a new office to get to know his patients, know where all the instruments are kept, etc).

Still give 2 weeks notice, even though you haven't been there long. It's required, and is the decent thing to do. They may decide not to schedule you for shifts during those two weeks, but you have to at least give them that chance. Ask them if they will mail your pay checks home or if you still need to come pick them up when you quit.

If you think that freakin' TACO BELL has "too much to do and too many abbreviations" then you will not survive in the workforce, plain and simple.

Get this: employers PAY YOU so that you can DO THINGS for them. Like sweep, mop, handle customers, make products, etc.. A job is not so you can get paid for being lazy.

If you haven't gotten your first pay check yet, you will even after you quit, you just need to come back during pay day.

And no, I wouldn't put Taco Bell on your resume because your interviewer is going to ask "Why did you only work there for 2 weeks?" and you're going to have to say, "Because it was hard and I'm lazy and I don't like actually working, so I quit," and then you'll never be hired anywhere.
