why isn't honey loaded with protein?!

Question: Why isn't honey loaded with protein?
Answers:

because bees dont need protein in their daily nutrition

The bees consuming carbohydrate-rich honey should tell you something: we don't need a lot of protein. For some reason, people really focus on protein and seem to think it's some kind of magical macronutrient. In reality, our bodies function better as a whole on carbohydrates, which can be used for long and short bouts of energy. For protein to be used for energy, it must first be converted into a carbohydrate (glycogen) before it can be used...so that whole ad campaign from Tyson chicken that "protein gives me energy!" is physiologically wrong.

Because protein is not high on the requirement list for a bee. They do need some protein and in fact will not create honey unless they have a protein source. But it is more important they have carbohydrates as flapping there wings and flying is very energy intensive. As a flying insect a bee is very inefficient at what it does.

It is seriously loaded with carbohydrates but no protein.

because it is basically bee saliva which wouldn't have any protein.

It's a carb. Easily digestible sugar for quick nutrition for worker bees,

Because it's a sugar and sugars are carbohydrates

Why would it have protein? It's mostly sugar to give the bees energy.

Cause it's not what bees need for nutrition.

Because it's pure sugar.
