Question: QUICK QUESTION? Too much to lose?
Breakfast: oatmeal(150 calories), large banana
Snack: cup or so of grapes
Lunch: 3 cups of salad(squash,broccoli, cauliflower, 3 olives, grape tomatoes, 3 egg whites, cucumber)
Snack: strawberries and grapes
dinner: 3 egg whites, with either 2 slices of whole wheat bread(45 calories each), or 1/2 cup of brown rice.

This seems like alot of food to me, too much to lose weight..should I cut anything out or change anything to make it more balanced, healthy, etc?

I would change your dinner to include more veggies, but overall you seem to have a balanced enough meal plan. Throw in a small handful of nuts/seeds to get in some healthy fats, including using a little olive oil on your salad. Essential fats are necessary for the body to function and are found in plant food sources and fish. I would add the nuts in addition to your fruit snacks to add in extra protein, fat and iron to your snacks.

Remember, for weight loss you need to eat...otherwise, your body will burn muscle and retain fat. This is why starvation diets, like Milan recommended, are ridiculous (and if someone doesn't know how to spell "calorie," chances are they don't know how they work, either).

hon, this is very little food, if you eat only this and nothing else you will become malnourished, please don't give vegetarianism a bad name by eating in this disordered way. If you eat this little, your body will probably end up going into starvation mode and you'll end up not loosing weight, and bingeing on sweets to feed your calorie lacking body. Eating this little will cause you to gain more weight than loose because its not enough food.

some people aren't meant to be stick thin, while some people are naturally lanky, some people Are on the more chunky side, just naturally, and its perfectly healthy.

Eat what your body craves, not what the latest proana or diet website says.



It's not a lot of food at all, especially because most of what's there is naturally light. Not to mention, you need something balanced that can offer you lots of different nutrients, you can't just go taking stuff out because your diet will be lacking in important nutrients.



i would change the dinner to something like peanut butter toast so that you are getting carbs and protein... the reason you should change this is because it seems like you should get protein in something other than egg whites plus it will help with your weight lose

Eat intelligently. The difference between man and beast is that we are driven by intelligence while beasts are driven by instinct. Don’t just eat something because you feel like eating it. Ask you’re self whether your body really needs it.



this looks like a great start but you're missing proteins and health fats like olive oil. both keep you feeling fuller longer.



For lunch, scramble a cup of tofu with salt and pepper as well to get more protein:D
