Can vegans eat salt ?!


Question: Can vegans eat salt ?
I'm throwing a dinner party and have a vegan guest. I have mortons salt at home, is that okay for a vegan to eat ?

Hey, so salt is usually fine (I googled Morton's, you're good to go). However, some sugars are processed with animal bones etc. so it's good to make sure what your vegan friend's boundaries are, at least for future reference. For example, I'm vegan but I eat sugar.

Yes, salt is vegan. However, if this person is vegan for health reasons they may not eat much salt. I would use is sparingly.

Good for you for being so considerate of your guest, i'm just a vegetarian; but i usually have to just eat side dishes, or bits and peaces of whatever is being served.



Yes, vegans can eat salt. Some don't east sugar because some companies use bone char to remove color to make it white.
