How much weight do you think I would lose if I became a fruitarian? Please Help!?!

Question: How much weight do you think I would lose if I became a fruitarian? Please Help!?
A fruitarian is pretty much a vegan except they don't eat any plants or meat, dairy etc, because they believe your harming it for your food. they eat fruit, nuts, etc anything that you can take from plant or tree etc without harming the tree or plant itself. I'm trying this more for health not weight loss. Don't judge me I really don't care about your opinion on whether this is stupid or unhealthy because i'm going to do it either way. I just heard that you can lose alot of weight on this diet and I was wondering how much i might lose? I'm 5'5" 127 lbs about. I dance 6 days a week. ballet tap jazz etc.

Answers:

I would love to go frutarian.. I don't think it is dumb at all. As long as everyone is educated in what they do (meat eaters to raw diets) I think it is great that they can stand their ground like you are doing. good luck.. and i am sorry. i don't know how much weight you can loose. just make sure you eat enough calories to sustain your dancing but burn more calories than you eat. good luck and stand proud in what your doing!

You'll probably gain weight, fruit is high in sugar.

"Can too much fruit cause weight gain?

Yes, too much fruit can cause weight gain. Too much intake of any food can cause weight gain-although some foods are much better to eat in excess than other foods."

I know you said you don't want to hear it, but if you base your diet almost solely on fruit, you're going to be deficient in tons of key nutrients, like protein, calcium, iron, etc. Why not just stick to a healthy, balanced vegan diet, and keep up your exercise?

Your body needs fuel. If you're exercising six days a week and eating nothing, you're going to be ill.

It's like not putting gas in your car to save weight; it might go slightly faster for a little while, before it conks out at the side of the road.

It really depends on how many calories you plan to eat, and how many you burn.

Burning 3500 calories will result in one pound of fat-loss.

1st you wrote you're trying this more for health not weight loss. then you said you don't care about an opinion (though your question ended with "Please Help!?") on whether it's stupid or unhealthy b.c yer doin it either way, since you heard you can lose a lot of weight from it.
..........................k.

im going to assume you have multiple personality disorder,

Personality that care about health: dont do it. its a diet based on personification of the environment and a belief that the fruitarian body is "pure" or "cleansed," not on a health standard. it often becomes more of a psychotic obsession with purifying one's body, food, food karma, pooping; and pathological fear of cooked food and fear of food that contains protein and/or produces mucus. the fruitarian body is in reality starved and malnourished, often suffering from diabetes, anaemia, sugar addiction, fatigue, and damaged pancreas. children raised on this diet died. the fruitarian brain typically has mental/emotional problems, on top of social problems that arise, like isolation. the human body requires much more as far as nutrients, protein, carbohydrates, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and essential fatty acids. its more of a spiritual thing.

Personality that cares about weight: well, yeah, i guess one could consider starvation and losing weight the same thing. i dont think youll lose ANY weight from this unless youre serious enough to be anorexic, in fact, i think youll gain weight, because it takes longer to lose weight from fruitarianism than it takes to get really hungry and tired. once you binge and go back to eating the way you do, youll probably eat overenthusiastically and your body will be in starvation mode, meaning itll hold on to the weight. if you wanna lose weight and you dont care about being stupid and unhealthy, its the crystal meth diet you wanna look into silly
