I was visiting Turkey (moms country) at 14 and saw animals being slaughtered for Eid. This sickened me so much that I could no longer eat meat and went vegetarian right there. When I got back to the us, I researched the meat industry and dairy, eggs ones as well, and realized how brutal they are. This led me to become a vegan and it has been 9 years. I don't see myself ever consuming anything that isn't vegan again, whether its in my food or dress.

I became a vegetarian at the age of five because I learned that meat was made of animals. I do not see myself ever eating meat again.

I'm currently in the process of going vegan, although I'm not sure I can really call myself that comfortably yet. I would like to think I'll never eat dairy again, but I do plan on eventually having a pet chicken, and I would have no qualms about using her eggs to bake. I want the chicken as a pet, not for her eggs, but if I have the eggs I figure I may as well use them.

I became a strict vegetarian when I was 2 and I first understood the concept of meat, however as an infant I rejected meat that was fed to me. I could never eat meat as it goes against my moral values. I do not use any form of animal product, including items that are considered byproducts such as gelatin or leather. I have been a vegetarian now for over 20 years and it is a huge part of who I am. People are always very surprised to learn that I made the decision on my own at such a young age, particularly when I am the only vegetarian in my family, but I understood very early on what I wanted and was lucky enough to have parents that supported my choices.

well i am 13, and i started when i was 12. (i eat eggs and dairy. if you don't its called being a vegan)
i just realized that meat looks like flesh, and that if i was eating meat, i was a murderer, so i stopped. (plus its healthier!!!!) also if you think about it, you wouldn't eat a dog, but you would eat a pig????? (and pigs are smarter!) if you watch the video at www.meat.org that will convince you.
Make a difference!!!!!

I actually became a vegetarian for a bet with my cousin. We decided to see who would last longer. I went for 8 years, she went for 2 days. Haha, I could have stopped, but I thought it would be interesting to try. I started when I was 7. I recently told my cross country team that if they got a certain place at leagues, that I would eat meat again. They succeeded, so I will start eating meat again soon! I do eat dairy. But, I don't eat eggs, only because I don't like the taste.

I just started a month ago (im 12!) and im loving it.. healthy and it feels right. before I didn't feel right eating an innocent animal that was brutally killed in a factory.
And also because i have a PETA booklet that shows pictures and facts about the torture (oh and my fav band singer is one!)

Me Vegetarian

I'm 13 eighth grade and when I was 11 in sixth grade I bacame veg on December 13 2008 because of theese reasons
when an animal like dogs or bears kills a person police shoot them raven though it's their nature and they don't have a choice and here we are using factorys to murderer inocent animals so their corpses can become our dinner

I just can't call my self an animal lover while contributing to their death I'm sorry it's just wrong and hypocritical
I don't think animals should be treated like objects and when you raise an animal just to murderer and cut it up (a entire life gone for your 15 minute dinner) you are doing so
I think killing to satisfy tastebuds is selfish
I don't like factory farming
animal carceses are gross i would rather cuttle a lamb than eat it
