Last week I was invited to do just that with my brother who had just arrived back home in the town of Well-Earned Connecticut. He has a friend who deals in the aquatic long-neck trade and who offered us a great rental deal on a pair of riders. Me, being opposed to animal exploitation, objected to this, but my brother insisted that the giraffes enjoy it and proceeded to prove it by driving us both to the compound and sweetly asking the creatures in their native language (which sounds remarkably like a soft and lyrical form of Klingon). To my amazement they replied that no, they didn't mind a bit, and that standard giraffe-riding lore holds that 2:45 am is the most enjoyable time for an ocean stroll. We made arrangements to return at two with whiskey, raw beets, and prophylactics, and went on to have a delightful dinner of couscous with celery and mushrooms, falafel with pine nuts, spicy hummus, cucumber salad, and fresh-baked coriander-seasoned pocket bread (I really enjoy cooking and eating middle-eastern food, especially before hitting the sea). We returned to the compound and rode off to the shore just outside of New Haven, where we all breathed in the salty air and I was awkwardly groped by an animal which I noted does not naturally possess appendages capable of gropage (I assure you I only enjoyed it a little). That was a good, nay, a *great* 2:45 AM giraffe ride.

Edit: I have not ridden a platypus and will not attempt to do so until I have gotten permission from the platypuses themselves. Unfortunately they only communicate in hexadecimal, and I am quite bad at sports.

HECK YA! It was awesome! I got some great pictures and sooooo many people "liked" them on facebook ;) It makes in even more fun if you tie a hot dog to the giraffe and put a purple cleopatra wig on your head!

Of course! I also ate a spotted mushroom, grew really really tall, jumped on a bunch of turtles, and crawled through the plumbing system.
