What should I do with all of this vegetarian split pea soup?!

Question: What should I do with all of this vegetarian split pea soup?
Last Tuesday (6 days ago) I made a large pot of split pea soup with sauteed onions carrots and celery, organic vegetable broth, and assorted spices. Now, my roommate (who encouraged and helped finance) the idea, has been eating nothing but cheeseburgers all week and I need to do something with the remaining half-gallon-or-so of this soup in my fridge before tomorrow. Is it too late to freeze it? Or is there some other proactive thing to do with it asides from *wince* composting? Thx

Answers:

It's probably still fine to freeze. Taste it, if it's still good freeze it in portion sized containers.

Hello

I would not freeze it if you have had it for a week. The best thing would be to use it as compost for the ground, at least all the vitamins and minerals will go back into the earth, so its not that much of a waste, frustrating I know - but next time freeze it if you have too much.

If it's still good freeze it, it should still be fine to freeze. That soup sounds really good though I don't see why your roommate wouldn't eat it

No worries, freeze it.
